Island Sands 311, this 3rd-floor, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo features offers a window A/C in the living area and panoramic ocean views! This property has elevators for easy access. Unit 311 can accommodate up to 6 guests. Inside the master bedroom, you will find a queen-size bed with breathtaking ocean views, direct lanai access, and an ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The guest bedroom also features an ensuite with a walk-in shower and a queen-size bed. The living room comes equipped with a queen-size sleeper sofa for additional guests and a flat-screen TV with cable. You'll enjoy the convenience of having a washer and dryer in the unit. The well-stocked kitchen is perfect for making meals where you can enjoy ocean views while you prepare your meals. The dining table also expands to offer extra seating space for larger groups!

Island Sands Resort is an oceanfront resort that offers a pool, BBQ area, and koi pond. This resort is located at Ma'alaea Bay, near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium), take a sunset sail or whale watching tour from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to many excursions such as Hana or Haleakala. There are no resort or parking fees.

Notice of Resort Construction Posted 10/9/26: Island Sands Water System Improvement Project. Projected dates 10/19-12/11/26. What to expect: Anticipate a water shut down and night work on Hauoli Street fronting the Island Sands Condominium the week of 10/26/26. Please expect construction, periodic traffic & water interruption. Work is being coordinated with the Maui County Dept of Water Supply.

Magnificent Sea View!

Aloha Avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour . L’appartement a une magnifique vue sur la mer et est très bien équipé et décoré.Il est très propre .Les lits sont confortables . L’AC par contre est ancien , bruyant et fonctionne avec une minuterie d’une heure maximum mais nous n’avons pas eu besoin de l’utiliser car l’appartement est bien ventilé avec les portes patios, la porte moustiquaire de l’entrée et les ventilateurs et par le fait que nous soyons en bord de mer . Très bien situé à 15 minutes de l’aéroport et de Kihei où se trouvent plusieurs restos et épiceries . Il y a aussi une belle plage tout près à distance de marche . Vraiment nos repas sur le lanai avec vue sur la mer et les tortues qui viennent dormir sur la petite plage du condo resteront de très beaux souvenirs. Mahalo

Aloha We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment has a magnificent sea view and is very well equipped and decorated. It is very clean. The beds are comfortable. The AC on the other hand is old, noisy and works with a timer of one hour maximum but we did not need to use it because the apartment is well ventilated with the patio doors, the mosquito net door of the entrance and fans and the fact that we are by the sea. Very well located 15 minutes from the airport and Kihei where there are several restaurants and grocery stores. There is also a beautiful beach nearby within walking distance. Really our meals on the lanai with a view of the sea and the turtles that come to sleep on the small beach of the condo will remain very beautiful memories. Mahalo

Our stay at Island Sands was very nice. The unit we stayed in was nicely appointed and very convenient located on the island. It is close to just about anything you need or any activity you want to do while staying in Maui. We will definitely look to stay here again during our next visit.

Perfect Unit with spectacular Bay and Haleakala view. Clean and a perfect home away from home. This location is just outside of town and tourist areas, but a very close drive to restaurants, groceries and all the convenience one might want.

Lovely Ocean Front Condo

Thoroughly Enjoyed our stay. The condo has a beautiful ocean view, is very nicely decorated. The kitchen and bathrooms are updated, appliances all look relatively new and kitchen is well appointed. It is also ideally centrally located to get to anywhere on the island relatively quickly. There is a lovely little private beach below and a short 5 minute walk to a long beach that extends all the way to Kihei. Would love to visit again someday. Thank you!!!

The oceanfront view for this unit is breathtaking. We were able to see turtles from our balcony. Sunrise and sunset views were amazing. The rooms and unit itself were extremely clean. 0 pests. The beach chairs provided, washer/dryer came in handy. Our family had a really pleasant stay and we would come back again in the future. Mahalo

Our Perfect Stay Story

Aloha!! We recently stayed in Condo 311. The view from the lanai was absolutely amazing!! We were approximately 20 yards from the ocean!! This condo is positioned within a half a kilometre or so of the Ma'alaea Harbour. The view included the entire bay looking directly at Haleakalā National Park. We were there from February 24 - March 10, 2024 and this is right in the middle of humpback season. We literally watched hundreds of humpback whales over the 2 weeks that never seemed to stop amazing us. We brought our binoculars along which we highly recommend but some whales were close enough that binoculars were not necessary! A 5 minute walk from our condo takes you to the beginning of Ma'alaea Beach. You can literally walk all the way to Kihei and beyond. The beach is said to measure 4.5 miles long. This is a lightly used beach that consisted of people walking, beach coming and the occasionally family enjoy the sand and the surf. Some days we had large beach sections to ourselves. The condo itself was great. And everything functioned as expected. This is a fabulous location as it's centrally located in Maui making travel to many of the beaches and must see locations an easy task to do. We highly recommend this condo and wouldn't hesitate to return in the future. Mahalo, Lance & Pam

Fantastic spot overlooking the water

The reason you book this unit is for the view. It’s a fantastic spot overlooking the water and fun to watch the sea turtles swimming in the waves. The lanai is shady in the afternoon which is great for relaxing (although in September you cannot see the actual sun setting at this spot on the island). Also, FYI Ma’alaea Harbor is one of the windiest spots on the island. The unit is as described — well supplied, good laundry and kitchen appliances… The AC is as described — only a window unit in the living room Check in/out was easy, and the host agency “My Perfect Stays” sent clear emails with instructions for parking/arrival/departure. If you stay here, be sure to visit Ma’alaea General Store — great spot and amazing breakfasts.

Amazing Stay

It was an amazing stay for the five of us. Everything in person matches what’s described in the post. Location is amazing, ocean view what else could you ask for. The only thing that bothered us was the lack of AC in the bedrooms, it gets hot and there isn’t much ventilation option either. Having said, everything else was spot on.

Perfect Location

Perfect location! Central to anywhere you want to go. No traffic, quiet, peaceful. Had snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and beach chairs. We loved it and can’t wait to go back! Lots of turtles!

We loved our stay at this condo! Felt really homey, the location was perfect and beautiful, and the condo itself was nice. The host was in contact several times to check-in that everything was going well and provide recommendations. Instructions for check-in & check-out were very clear. Our first trip to the Island!! We celebrated our daughter's 13th birthday with grandparents!! We were greeted with a humpback whale breaching and prancing in the waters right from the patio! So many turtles basking in the evening sun on the shores!! Easy access to Kaanapali and other Prestine beaches. Overall a great property and the property management helped us to plan activities!!

Our condo was overlooking the ocean, and what a gorgeous sight. The condo was spacious and comfortable. With a few improvements, such as better beds and small appliances, it would have been 5 stars all around.

Good spot on “the in between “. Easy access to multiple destinations and walking distance to the Maui Ocean Center. The condo met our needs nicely. It was well appointed and I was happy to find beach chairs/toys etc. for our use. We lucked out and got to see turtles every day just below our terrace.

This apartment is perfect! It was close to everything we wanted to do! The view is worth every penny you spend on this apartment! Honestly it made the trip so much more special! This beautifully appointed two bedroom, two bathroom condo centrally located in Malaya made our vacation a breeze. The tasteful furnishings and decor along with ample cookware in a nice galley kitchen make meal making a easy. Owners provide exceptional beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler for guests to use. The management company’s outreach is spectacular. Would highly recommend this location!
