Hale Kai 220 Description

Hale Kai 220 is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo featuring amenities such as an oceanfront lanai, vaulted ceilings, and ceiling fans. This condo does not have A/C. Located on the second floor, this corner unit can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests with a King bed in the master bedroom, a Twin Bunk beds in the second bedroom, and a Queen bed in the third bedroom. Please note this property does not have elevators. The open-concept living area features vaulted ceilings, modern furniture with coastal decorations, and a large flat-screen TV. Ceiling fans are equipped throughout the unit to help stay cool.

On the main floor, you will find the master bedroom, the second bedroom, and the main bathroom. Relax and unwind with a King-size bed in the master bedroom and a large flat-screen TV. The main bathroom features a shower/tub combo. The second bedroom is equipped with Twin-size bunk beds and a flat-screen TV. Located upstairs in the loft is the third bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a Queen-size bed and a walk-in shower.

Enjoy the oceanfront view from the comforts of your private lanai with a dining table for 4 and a lounge chair. Dine al fresco while hearing the sound of the beach waves and take in the beautiful sights of Maui. A dining table for 4 is in the unit so you may enjoy the view from inside with large sliding doors and windows. Great Family Friendly Condo Steps Away from Ocean!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hale Kai during our recent week in Maui. You cannot beat the location of this condo, you are steps away from the water so you hear the waves 24/7, the sunsets are incredible to view each night from your lanai, and there is a small beach area right off the property, or a larger beach/park right next to the property. It was amazing to not have to drive to get a great beach spot! It was a very quiet property too when we stayed, pool was never crowded and noise was never an issue. As is common in Maui, there is no AC in the unit, and it gets HOT. We have young kids who stayed in the bunk bed room (the pictures show a bunk bed but it’s actually 2 twins side by side), and it would be dangerously hot in that room during the day, over 90 degrees. We had to move them to our room for naps which was fine, but worth mentioning. There also is very little privacy in the bedrooms. The condo is mainly windows which is great for the views, but both the main bedrooms had large windows that weren’t frosted so people could see right in, you also rose with the sun since there were no curtains to block the light. The bedroom on the main level faces the parking lot and street, and the windows don’t fully close, so there is a bit of noise at night. The condo is spacious and very well equipped with everything you may need in the kitchen, as well as the beach. It wasn’t super clean when we got there which was a little disappointing, several dishes and utensils that were put away in the cabinets still had food on them, and the bathroom floors looked like they’d maybe missed being mopped. Overall it was a good spot for our family and we really enjoyed our stay. Mahalo!

The view was amazing !! We were all breath taken as we opened the door and walked in. The place is beautiful and the view is even better. Everything was clean and the amenities were amazing. We used almost everything they offered including the cooler, the beach chairs, the snorkeling gear, and so much more. Our host was great. Communicating with them was quick and their instructions for check in and check out were really simple. If I ever come back to Maui, this is where I will be staying again. Thanks for making our trip that much easier.

Our family of six absolutely loved our stay at Hale Kai. The ocean view from our condo was beautiful. We watched a lot of whales and turtles from our balcony. The condo was clean and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. The welcome gift was a treat when we arrived. The west side of the island was a perfect place to stay. We will definitely be returning again.

What a beautiful condo!! The first thing that hits you is the amazing ocean view, we couldn't get enough! The place was fully stocked, especially the kitchen and the beach gear. Conveniently, it was only a few steps from a warm, clean pool and the beach. There are a some cute shops and a food truck park, all within walking distance. It does get a little loud at night and first thing in the morning with traffic and chirping birds. Bring ear plugs if that bothers you. Also, old Town Lahaina (main shopping strip) is about 6 miles away, so you would need a car/bike to get there from the condo. Overall, highly recommend!

Spacious!

Our family of 5 stayed here comfortably. The unit is spacious and we never felt on top of one another. Plenty of necessities to get you by for the first few days, including all of the beach chairs and umbrellas. Walking distance to so many good places to get coffee and eat great food. Great views, clean and quiet. The property is VERY well cared for. Having the pool was also nice when we were tired of being in the ocean. Pictures are accurate besides the bunk beds, they are now separate twin beds. The ONLY downside is how hot it gets (not the owner's fault). The condo would definitely benefit from an a/c unit. We will be back again and will not hesitate to book this condo!

Sound Of the Ocean While We Slept

We really enjoyed our stay. Even saw some turtles swim by while sitting on the lanai! It got pretty warm in the afternoons (no AC) but the view and the sound of the ocean while we slept was great!

Maui Beach Vacation

The unit is well-located with a lovely view, a pool, and a small adjacent beach (usable more a low tide). It is a typical Hawaiian beach house, with jalousie windows that are a bit old-fashioned. There is no air conditioning, making the loft bedroom a bit warm during the day but the unit cools off nicely at night with lots of fans and ocean breezes. There are no curtains on most windows making it somewhat light at night and not totally private. The lighting is a little sparse, especially over the dining room area. The pool is quite cold. The management was very responsive and well-organized. The unit has a satisfactory kitchen, and parking was never a problem. Overall, it was a very good stay for our family of six.

This is a great condo. We loved the view from the Lanai. It's a great location on the island. Less commercial area, which was a plus. More residential. The beds were fine. Nothing exceptional. I watch this in particular when I'm reserving. My husband and I stayed in the upper bedroom, which we loved. The most difficult thing about it was that we only had the bathroom to change clothes in. The loft is open to see. The kids LOVED the two bedrooms downstairs and it was great for their family. The pool is right by the ocean and amazing. The beach access is very small and only accessible in low tide, but that was okay with us. Love the amenities in the condo!

Hale Kai

Loved the area. More residential than commercial, which was perfect for us. The bedrooms were nice! We loved being able to leave all the windows open. The pool is right on the ocean. The little beach there is only accessible at low tide, which was fine for sticking your feet in. There's no a/c, so people need to know that. It was fine for us. The beds were okay. The bed in the loft is a bit hard for my taste. The location was perfect. Our trip to Road to Hana was amazing! We were there for my son's wedding and it was a perfect setting. We enjoyed the aquarium.

We had a SUCH a magical stay!

We had a SUCH a magical stay! Overall the stay was delightful, the location PERFECT, and the amenities great! I would 100% recommend staying here but here’s a few things you need to know before your stay. Call them features or quirks! 1. There is no AC. Which absolutely is fine, but you need to be okay with windows open all the time. There’s a lovely breeze constantly and the fans are fabulous. All the windows have screens and we have never had any problems with bugs. 2. The bedroom with the king bed has NO window coverings. It’s not like people will be watching but it definitely feels exposed (and bright in the morning) The kitchen is great, everything worked, there were enough towels, beds were comfortable, parking was easy, it was very clean and an amazing location! Definitely would rush back!

No Finer Location

There is no finer location on Maui, and certainly none closer to the ocean. Withing steps you can be on the beach snorkeling with turtles and then rinsing the salt water off in the pool. Great walkable restaurants! Condo was clean, updated, and large! We had 2 adults and 3 teens.

The unit has a perfect location. You can see the most beautiful sunset imaginable from the kitchen, living room and balcony. The beds are very comfortable. Be aware that there is no air conditioning. Perfect Stays brought us extra fans after we complained, and then it was fine. The unit also needs curtains in the master bedroom, which faces the street and parking lot. Our teens loved that Black Rock was only 10 minutes away. There is cliff diving there and good enough snorkeling for the adults.

First let me say this property is in the absolute perfect location. It feels oceanfront with the best views ever. The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been to have a cyclones fan in every room. The condo has everything you could need for a fabulous vacation. First let me say this condo is in the absolute perfect location right on the beach, with stunning views and walking distance to stores and restaurants. Our family of 5 had the best week staying at Hale Kai “220! The condo was perfectly stocked, it even had beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, bogie boards, sand toys and the kitchen was very well equipped. The only reason for what I will say is a low 5 star review is there was no A/C. In the mornings and night it was very comfortable with just ceiling and supplemental floor fans, but the afternoons were quite warm. 3 more Cyclone floor fans would have been perfect and no A/C would be required. Full disclosure - we did know there was no A/C when we booked 🙃 Would we stay here again? ABSOLUTELY!!

The location was perfect!

The location was perfect! The pool right out front is great and the close access to the ocean was amazing. We saw 2 turtles one afternoon! You can easily get into downtown Lahaina or further up north. They have snorkel gear, beach towels and chairs, and boogie boards! However, this condo did not have air conditioning or blinds on any of the windows. It cools down pretty ok at night but gets rather hot during the day, even with the windows wide open. Also, sleeping with all the windows open led to a louder night as there is a street very close to the condo and parking lot.

Great Location

Great location. Walking distance to coffee and shopping. A pool that overlooks the ocean. Beach is right there! So many whale soghtings and turtles in the beach directly in front of the condo.

Beautiful Condo with a Beautiful View

The condo is as beautiful as pictured and is well equipped to help you enjoy your stay (at the condo, at the pool and at the beach). The beds are comfortable and the linens are all nice. The view from the patio is spectacular and made for wonderful breakfasts (complete with whales, dolphins, turtles and rainbows) and sunset Mai Tais. The pool area is quite nice and the residents were gracious and happily shared conch shells so that our kids could participate in sunset rituals. The beach to the right provides great opportunities for snorkeling, when the waves are calmer. The food trucks down the road were an easy walk and provided great options for several dinners. The only reason we give the condo a four star rating is the proximity of all the condos to the parking lot. The lower unit bedrooms are literally 10’ from a car. Further, the road is very close and since your windows are open, you not only hear the waves and the birds, but you also hear the cars driving by, the garbage trucks that seem to come daily, the cars arriving and leaving, etc., making it difficult to sleep past 7am. The management company was great - allowing us to store our bags when we arrived early and providing extra blankets for chilly nights.

Don’t hesitate and book this place! Truly an incredible spot in Maui. We were traveling with our 10 month old and this place made it so easy to do so. There was a pool and private beach access. We watched whales and turtles daily. And because this is a corner unit, it’s not only more private, but the views of the ocean are amazing. We will definitely be back!

Hale Kai is such a special place and until 220 is perfect. The unit is well stocked with anything extra you may need. The beds are extremely comfortable. The unit is very clean and updated. The area is perfect for walking around. A natural food market is just across the street for anything you need. Badass coffee and Maui fish market for the best fish tacos are just a stroll away. If you love amazing sunsets, watching turtles feed every morning, and the sound of the ocean, then this is the place for you. Aloha!

Couldn't beat the location!

Couldn’t beat this location! The small sandy beach allowed intimate time steps away from the condo. The residents of the condo were a lovely bunch as well. It felt like home away from home in paradise! The location was perfect for access to so much of what the island has to offer. We walked often to the farmers market and food trucks. The condo itself has a beach house vibe! We wish the bunk bed room had an option of a different configuration. Having 3 adult women try to decide who gets the bunk bed room was fun lol, but we made it work. This was a girls trip and we celebrated Friendsgiving along with several hikes.

Perfect Location!

This condo was very comfortable for our party of six. Perfect location, near amenities and amazing beaches. Many sea turtles right in front of the unit, the view is gorgeous. Main floor bath was used by two adults and two teens, it could use a couple more towel bars for hanging wet towels and suits up. Unit was very clean except for plates that were put away dirty, easily remedied by a cycle of the dishwasher. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location

The location was great. The pool and beach right outside our balcony made for extra relaxing mornings and evenings with 4 kids from ages 8-15. The space was just right for the 6 of us. The property managers were very prompt in responding to questions prior to our trip and 2 things that came up while staying at the property. No window coverings made for early mornings when the sun came up, but we are mostly early risers. We would stay again.

Great little place directly in front of the ocean and pool. The views are truly one of a kind! The place is not air conditioned and could get very hot and stuffy, I would suggest going during the time of year when it’s around 72 degrees. When we went it was the last week of May and it was in the mid-80’s. There are some older folks that live within the complex, not really happy to see the kids around, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The linens are top notch, great set up in the kitchen with all the appliances you could need. Boogie boards and beach chairs are in the closet as well as beach towels for everyone in your party. Definitely would go back!

The location and setting of this condo are phenomenal. You are literally steps away from a private beach as well as a lovely swimming pool. Coffee shops, a small farmers market, and other shops are within close walking distance. The condo is outfitted with everything you need for cooking and a comfortable stay. We loved having the pool and beach right outside our door! With three little boys 4 and under it was perfect!! Just so you know there is a pack n play in the closet. They told us there wasn’t one so we hauled a pack n play all they way there for no reason. We would go there again!!

My family really enjoyed our stay in Maui. The location of the condo was perfect! Close enough to everything, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. If you’re looking for incredible ocean views from the moment the sun rises to the moment the sun sets, look no further. This Lahaina location is close to several beaches where we enjoyed surfing, snorkeling and a great Maui vibe. We loved sitting on the private balcony overlooking the waves crashing each morning. The facility has two outdoors BBQ’s that were cleaned and sanitized EVERY morning. There is an outdoor shower to clean off the sand from walking along the private beach. Sea turtles came to visit every day and we saw countless whales off in the distance (visited in mid-February 2021). We left two boogie boards so hopefully they are still in the unit for you to enjoy! You won’t regret this spot.

Our family really enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful location right on the water with a private path to what seems like a little private beach. So close to everything! Walking distance to farmers market, beaches and amazing turtle spots! The views from the lanai in this condo are amazing!! Very clean and comfortable. We appreciated all the gear like beach towels, dish soap, cooking supplies and beach chairs! No pack n play for a baby so we did have to rent that from a local company. Overall we were very pleased with this condo and would gladly stay here again!! Thank you Perfect Stays!

My boyfriend and daughter stayed here with another couple and it was amazing. It was quiet and literally right by the beach. It was close to the walk way and right by a park. The host responded quickly and was very kind. I will def return here someday.
