Paki Maui 101 Description

Air Conditioning

Paki Maui 101 is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom oceanfront condo located on the first floor with wonderful unobstructed ocean views from your lanai. The condo does not have air conditioning, and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, bringing natural light into the condo. Enjoy preparing meals at home with a fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom features majestic ocean views and access to the bedroom's lanai. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a good book or relax after a long day in the sun. The master bedroom features a comfortable queen-size bed with a spacious ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom features a brand-new queen bed and the guest bathroom is in the hallway with a walk-in shower.

Paki Maui features an oceanfront pool, hot tub, BBQ grills with picnic areas, and a coin-operated laundry facility. There are no resort or parking fees at the resort. Paki Maui is a five-story oceanfront resort located on the West side of Maui between Ka’anapali and Kapalua areas. Paki Maui is an oceanfront property with seasonal shoreline conditions. Direct sandy beach access may vary throughout the year depending on tides and surf. Guests will also find nearby beaches within a short walk for swimming and beach activities. Paki Maui is in the neighborhood of Honokowai with shopping, restaurants, and beach rentals across the street. Within a short drive check out Whaler's Village Shopping Center where you can enjoy many dining options and entertainment. There are golf courses and putting greens available in Kaanapali and Kapalua.

Fantastic Stay At Paki Maui 101

Paki Maui 101 was the perfect home base for our stay on Maui. We loved the condo's location, just north of Ka'anapali/Lahaina and just south of Napili/Kapalua. We were able to easily walk to local coffee shops, restaurants, and an ABC convenience store, and most places we wanted to visit were within a 10-20 min drive. The unit itself was perfect for our needs. 101 might have the best location in the whole building - we loved being on the ground level and able to walk just a few steps to the sunbathing lawn and ocean. While there isn't really a sandy beach to lay out on right outside the building, there are plenty of chairs and loungers provided on the lawn (which was actually nice as we could go out there and not deal with sand for a little bit), and you could still access the ocean. We loved swimming and snorkeling right outside of the unit and saw lots of fish and a few sea turtles throughout our stay. The area is protected by two rocky areas/reefs so even when waves were large around the island, we were able to swim here safely. The condo had great beds, including the sofa bed which was comfortable and seemed slightly larger than a normal queen size. The kitchen provided everything we needed and was nicely updated. We were a bit worried about the lack of air conditioning before our stay, but found that the provided fans combined with leaving the screen doors open was enough to keep us cool and comfortable, even in the August heat. The bathrooms could use a little updating, particularly the doors in the guest bath, but everything worked fine. Of course, the absolute highlight of our stay was the stunning ocean view right outside. We watched the most gorgeous sunsets while eating dinner on the balcony and spent many hours just sitting out there and taking in the views. We would highly recommend Paki Maui 101 and hope to stay here again on our next visit to Maui. Mahalo!

The stay was very comfortable! Only thing was that there is no AC so it was a little stuffy in the place most of the time. The view was good, but I guess we arrived at the wrong time, there was some construction right in front of our apartment! I spoke with Christine from My perfect stays and she was so nice and helpful, she helped me get a later check out and was very informative! Shout out to Christine!

We had an amazing stay! 🏝️ The beds were super comfy, the sound of the ocean waves was pure magic, and the view from the patio was breathtaking. The little birds visiting while I made breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen were such a sweet surprise, like having tiny pets!

The views from the living room and master bedroom were spectacular! Made the whole trip. We got to see lots of whales from our space. Overall spacious and the rooms/bathrooms were set up nicely. Super easy parking. Walkable to lots of shops. We spent a few days just hanging at the beach in front of us.

Great Time

It was so nice. Except one screen door kept falling off. The washer was not working. And the setting plate on the dishwasher kept falling off. But those were merely inconveniences. The condo was roomy, clean and has a view that doesn't quit. Big enough for 6 and layout is nice. Would stay there again.

Nice Quiet Getaway

Overall really enjoyed our stay. Recommended if you are looking for a bit of a quieter stay instead of being in the middle of the tourist area. Our unit, #101, was really well located: on the main floor, right near the stairs leading down to the grass / pool area. Our unit was nice overall, but a bit older. We had a couple things not work, and the rental company was very responsive (light bulb went out; fan stopped working, sliding screen door kept falling off the track, etc.). One thing to know is there is no AC. This wasn't a deal killer for us, but I wasn't expecting that. Ultimately, I liked it as it forced me to get on Island Time more quickly. But I imagine for some people it might be required. The area in front has grass and overlooks the water and delivers beautiful sunsets. Then access to the water was closed when we were there. Note that there is not really beach in front--its mostly reef access, which people were going out on for snorkeling. There is a park right next door that does have a small beach and trees for shade. There is a pool, jacuzzi and BBQ area. The pool is more of a wading pool that is 4' deep, so probably ideal for small kids, but less so for tweens and teens. The building has a beautifully landscaped inner courtyard, and there are some stores with basics across the road, so you don't have to get in the car every time you want something (e.g., coffee, market, a few restaurants, etc.).

Great location, right next to pool

Great location, right next to pool. Quiet. Very clean. Only issues are that parking is a little challenging as the parking spots are very narrow. Also, the master bedroom bed is very soft. I ended up using cushions from the futon on the floor as a bed as the actual bed was too soft for me.

Absolutely Stunning Location

Absolutely stunning location. This condo is not in a "resort-like" complex. If you want kids screaming and a busy area, go to a different place. It is also not highly updated. It is very reasonably priced and in the most perfect location! The balcony views are great - we saw two seals and turtles. There are two balconies beach front. There is a small sandy beach, but a breakwall one had to maneuver to get to the beach. There is a public beach next door which is small and easily accessible for plenty of sandy beach. We would definitely rent this condo again --- and are actually planning a 2023 trip.

We had a wonderful time at Unit 101 for our family vacation and loved everything about the location and setup. The front desk staff was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and we agree that Unit 101 is the best located unit in the whole complex. Just steps away from the ocean and across the street from great coffee and the most amazing farmer’s market I’ve ever visited. It’s also great being between Napili and Ka’anapali so you can visit both! 10/10 for this stay!

The location is perfect, right on the ocean! The sound of the waves day and night were so tranquil. The kitchen is updated but the rest of the condo is in need of a little tlc. We were surprised to find the unit did not have any beach chairs, but to be fair they were not listed in the description, and the umbrella was broke. Otherwise our stay was amazing! We loved the easy access to the beach and the fish market across the street.

We snorkeled with turtles right out the back door. You can also walk a couple miles south almost entirely on the beach. Driving time to others beaches is manageable due to great location. The kitchen has everything you need to do full meals if you want. Beds were comfortable and space is great. Only low point is the well-worn restrooms but don’t let that keep you away. We would definitely stay here again.

Stunning views and great amenities

We have been to Maui several times and always try to stay in the area around the Maui Paki, as it is so close to lots of amenities and some great beaches. This condo offered such stunning ocean views, we saw so many turtles and whales during our stay, many while we enjoyed our morning coffee on one of the lanais. The condo itself is as advertised, with a nicely updated kitchen and had plenty of room for our family of four. The building is well kept, the parking plentiful and the grassy/beach area in front of the condo offered a great option for our young kids. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider staying here again.

We had a wonderful time at the Paki Maui in Unit 101! We have stayed at the Paki Maui before, but Unit 101 is by far the best one. It has the most GORGEOUS view of the ocean where we sat out in the back and watched the whales in the distance. The unit itself was everything we wanted and more. It was fully stocked with everything we needed including a full kitchen, beach towels, sand toys, and more! We already said that when we come back to Maui again, we have to stay in this unit.

Paki Maui room 101

This room is by far the best located room in all of the complex. We really liked that its on the first floor and right next to the stair case leading to the semi private beach. you can see the pool from the room, and I had learned that it was recently under new ownership and it shows, because it was very clean & updated with new countertops, backsplash, appliances and backsplash. All of the employees at the complex are friendly and the entire complex looks clean and well maintained. I will deffinetly be recomending Paki Maui to my friends & family.

How can you not give this condo 5 stars when you go to sleep and wake up every day with the ocean sound in the background? February is the perfect time to go because of the whales and boy did we see a lot of whales just from the lanai! The lawn area is very nice and a great place to just watch the world go by.

Many positives about this unit - incredible views, easy access to lawn/beach, pool area and grills. Loved the updated kitchen! Bathrooms and carpeting were dated but everything was very clean. Seeing whales in the waters right in front of our unit wasn’t something we expected and wished we had brought along binoculars. We would stay here again.

Amazing stay on West Maui!

Where to begin this place was simply magical. From the moment you walk passed the myperfectstays check in desk the first thing you see is the Ocean and you know your in for a great time. The room itself has some of the best views any of us have stayed in and it was well stocked. You will not be disappointed with this location it is fantastic. Thanks again!

Great location

This was a great location, could see turtles and whales from our open lanai. Only thing that could have made it better, beach chairs and cookie sheet in the kitchen…. But neither were a real issue, just something to make it more relaxing. 😀 Very clean and has lots of helpful amenities. With family of 4 and a grandmother, this was a perfect space. With kitchen. Space to save a little by cooking some meals ourselves. Thanks for a great stay!

My family and I spent the week at this condo and the location is perfect!! On the ocean with amazing views plus sea turtles swam right up to our condo. Great location from other attractions and highly recommend this place. The condo was as advertised and perfect for my family of 4. Bathrooms were a little dated, but we would definitely stay at this location again. Plus, the check-in and check-out communication with A Perfect Stay was amazing. The stay in contact with you and are available immediately. Great vacation!!

We had a great time at this unit! We have 2 small children and the condo complex was pretty family friendly. The view is unbeatable and it the location is close to restaurants and food trucks. Could be a bit cleaner. The complex is quiet enough at night, you mostly hear the sounds of the ocean.

Liked our Maui stay at Paki Maui with My Perfect Stays. Rooms were clean and well stacked with regular towels, beach towels, and toiletries. Awesome beachfront view from the living room and the bedroom. Wish the kitchen had additional basics such as sugar and oil. I'd recommend this place! Value for money.

Outstanding views -- we could see turtles from our porch, not to mention sunrise and sunset. Very clean, spacious, and well equipped condo -- the kitchen had everything we needed and there were puzzles and a few beach essentials in the closet. Paki Maui is a quiet complex, the pool and hot tub area very peaceful. The Farmer's Market, a delicious veggie deli + grocery, and Fish Market, for yummy fish tacos and poke, are right across the street. Excellent location -- much quieter than the resorts closer to Lahaina. Ka'anapali became our fave beach, we also hiked to the tide pools and blow hole, an easy 30 minute drive north. Gorgeous place, five stars from a family of four!

Excellent location for the money you can get. Units are definitely older and not reflect what you may see in pictures but amenities and views are accurate. We were not looking for resort type facilities but simplicity and ocean views and walk to beaches, and this unit gave us all of that. Definitely recommend !!!!

It was amazing to wake up and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean every night! The place is walking distance to some stuff like Java jazz - live music in the evenings! Also liked the beach towels and wine glasses they supplied… plus it was so convenient having the washer and dryer in unit. Only downside was there is no door to separate the master bathroom and bedroom so made “doing your business” a little awkward.

Great location! Loved how close it was to the pool. Wonderful to see the sunsets on the porch each night. Needs some updating, but photos are accurate. We didn’t have pest problems like other guests but kept everything in the fridge.

Wonderful apartment in a great location. Close enough to Kaanapali to be convenient to restaurants and shops, but far enough to be out of the crazy, nice and peaceful in the evenings. Unit is perfectly located and physically couldn’t be closer to the beach. Stunning views and a nice patch of grass and sandy beach to watch the whales and the sunsets. Place was sparkling clean, beds were comfortable. At first we were concerned at the prospect of no air conditioning, but it turned out that with the doors and louvered windows open there was always a nice cross breeze…didn’t even need AC. Would definitely return again.

How can you complain when you wake up to the sound of the ocean every morning? Easy beach access, and it's not over crowded like a lot of other beaches. Great pool/hot tub with BBQ access so you can cook your food outside of the condo. If you want the freshest fish on Maui, visit the fish market right across the street. The staff was helpful and the condo was clean and full of everything you need to make your vacation memorable!!

Pros: beautiful location, plenty of swimming and tanning areas, sand below with grass up-top, stunning sunsets, soft beach towels, enough trash bags/dish soap/laundry pods/dryer sheets for our entire trip, lots of towels, lots of space in general, loved the view from the master bedroom, easy access to beach area Cons: bug problem in kitchen, pans were extremely difficult to cook with (old, chipping, all food stuck to the pan even with lots of butter), no reviews available to read prior to booking, communication was very poor, strict check-out policy ($150 charge if over time)

This condo is a newer listing which is why there are not a lot of reviews available yet. As Maui is a tropical environment, there is a presence of pests. We do our best to limit the number of pests in our condos by having them treated a minimum of 6 times per year. After receiving this review we will be sending our team to the condo to evaluate the kitchen area for bugs, as well as the condition of the kitchen equipment. We do reach out to all guests several times throughout their stay to ensure that everything is going well, and are available 7 days per week should you need anything. We would have loved the opportunity to address these issues during your stay. Lastly, our standard checkout time is 11AM, however if we are able to accommodate any later, we would do so at no extra charge to the guest. Right on the Water!

This place is right on the water. You wake up listening to the ocean and watching whales (when in season). It's just 5-15 minutes from all of the best snorkeling, and right down the street from the store.
