Wailuku First Friday is a monthly street festival where locals and visitors gather to enjoy live music, local food, art, and shopping. The streets fill with vendors, food trucks, and artists, creating a fun, walkable atmosphere that celebrates local culture and supports the community.

The Maui Invitational

Experience the thrill of elite college basketball in paradise! Every November, this premier early-season tournament brings eight top-tier NCAA Division I programs to West Maui’s historic Lahaina Civic Center. Fans can combine a dream tropical getaway with high-energy sports action, with twelve games packed into three days. With an intimate arena setting just steps from spectacular coastlines, it offers visitors an unforgettable opportunity to wear their team colors, enjoy a vibrant game-day atmosphere, and witness future NBA stars compete just before the Thanksgiving holidays.

Hui Holidays

From late November through Christmas Eve, the historic Kaluanui Estate transforms into a festive winter wonderland. At its center, the Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center temporarily expands its gallery shop into a massive artisan marketplace featuring ceramic art, jewelry, glasswork, and handcrafted holiday ornaments from local artists. Complete with stunning seasonal decor and family-friendly workshops, this beloved annual tradition is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a rare island treasure while supporting Maui’s vibrant creative community.

World Whale Day

Celebrate the annual migration of thousands of humpback whales to the Auʻau Channel during Maui’s World Whale Day festivities. Held every February, this gathering raises awareness for marine conservation through a variety of community-focused events.
