Air Conditioning
Papakea E407 is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo featuring amenities such as a washer/dryer, vaulted ceilings, and air-conditioning. Located on the fourth floor, this condo can accommodate up to 10 guests with a California King bed in the master bedroom bedroom, a California King bed in the second bedroom, two Twin beds and a Queen bed in the loft-style third bedroom, and a Queen sleeper sofa in the main living area. Pricing is based on 6 guests. A $75 extra guest fee applies to any guests over 6. This fee (per person) is applied per day and paid as part of the reservation total.
On the main floor, retreat to the serene master bedroom with a California King-size bed. There is also a dedicated workspace and printer located in the master bedroom. The master ensuite bathroom is updated with granite countertops, bamboo cabinets, and a large walk-in shower with whale mosaic tile and a granite seat. Down the hall is the second bedroom which has a California King-size bed. The guest bathroom features granite counter tops, bamboo cabinets, and a walk-in shower with turtle mosaic tile work. Upstairs is the loft-style third bedroom with a two Twin-size beds and a Queen-size bed. Each bedroom has its own split A/C unit and ceiling fan. Pack light and take advantage of the unit's washer and dryer for added convenience.
The open-concept living room features Hawaiian-theme furniture, mango wood tile flooring, and a large flat-screen TV. A split A/C and ceiling fans are equipped in the living room to help stay cool. This unit also includes a travel crib and a baby bouncer chair. Unwind and dine al fresco on the private lanai with a high bar dining table for 4. Take in the view of the Pacific Ocean and the lush gardens. A dining table for 4 is equipped in the unit so you may enjoy the view from inside with large sliding doors and windows. The remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, bamboo cabinets, and full-size appliances. Ample counterspace makes meal prepping a breeze and provides additional seating for 4.
Papakea Resort offers lush tropical landscaping, koi lagoon ponds, oceanfront saltwater pools, hot tubs, shuffleboards, golf greens, pickleball, and tennis courts! It is located just North of the famous Ka’anapali Beach. Walk to nearby local shops, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is a quick drive to Whalers Village and many of Maui's top beaches like Kaanapali, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay.

We truly experienced the magic of Maui. The condo has an amazing view of the interior gardens, pools, palm trees, and ocean just beyond. It has been lovingly curated over the years and has everything you could imagine needing. Beds and linens are like what you would find at a luxury hotel. The location is ideal, with great snorkeling spots close by and easy access to shopping and great food options. We can recommend this stay without hesitation.

This is an awesome property with great amenities, super nice staff and fantastic location. The two pool compensate for the lack of usable beach and the complimentary gas grills are really beneficial. Interiors are nice, but beginning to reflect age and wear. They should be updated.
We would certainly stay their again.

Our family of 5 adults and 2 grandkids fit so well into unit E407! We wanted A/C in each bedroom and the loft area, and that really helped when it warmed up. But, the view and the sound of the waves was the BEST part of the stay. We swam in the pool, BBQ'd our meals, watched the whales breaching offshore, and walked to the grocery store - it was so relaxing. We also went on a small boat to go whale watching and it was beyond amazing! My Perfect Stays is a great company - no problems with them at all. The staff at Papakea were all very nice and friendly. Great trip!!!!

Papakea Resort has been our favorite place to stay in Maui for many years. The location is great, buildings and public spaces are very well maintained and the people working there are friendly and helpful. Unit E407 was very comfortable for our large family gathering and included lots of equipment for the beach and outdoor activities. My Perfect Stays was a great host, answering many pre-arrival questions and providing helpful recommendations from baby equipment rentals to grocery delivery. We would highly recommend for your family's next trip to Maui!

Beautiful place to stay! Loved to the view of the ocean! The building offered nice amenities. We had plenty of space for all six members of our family. I will say that the furniture in the living room is a little dated. The beds were really comfortable though! Added bonus was the beach gear they have available for you to use!

E407 has all the comforts of a fine home along with a resort that is in a class by itself. The view from the condo living room, lanai & master bedroom are fabulous ocean views. The split system HVAC allows each room to control its own temperatures plus the kitchen is stocked with all the necessities for any type of meals desired. Location, Location Location!!

Papakea was everything and more! We loved our stay- from check in- which was super smooth and easy, to the 5 nights we stayed. The place was clean, quiet and exactly how it was posted online. There were basic necessities ( beach towels, chairs, 2 coolers, umbrellas, salt , pepper, laundry pods that were available for our use) the amenities were great/ we loved the pool and jacuzzi right by the water. We spent our nights on the lawn chairs watching the sunset. We will be back papakea!

Amazing!!! We loved every second of it and was so sad to leave. The place was exactly like the pictures, elevator to get upstairs with all of our stuff, great views, and attentive staff. There was plenty of beach chairs, towels, coolers to bring to the beach. They stalked the unit with the basics, salt pepper, coffee filters. Great sized unit- only thing I would change is living room furniture was kind of small for 5 people to enjoy. Thank you papakea!!!

My family of four and my dad loved Papakea and our condo on the 4th floor! The accommodations were very nice, well kept place. The beds were super cozy, nice updated bathrooms, and the kitchen was well-stocked with all the utensils and necessities we needed. We especially enjoyed our coffee and cocktails on the balcony with that million-dollar view! Very nice pools, and hot tub at the end of the day. The grounds are stunning and so well-maintained. We would absolutely return to this resort. It was hard to say goodbye.

Great location and wonderful property. Perfect for our family of 8. The unit was pretty well stocked for cooking. Loved the view and the grounds. There was a bit of an electrical issue with the fans and lights. If one bedroom turned the light on they all went on. The wiring needs to be checked. We would return with our 6 kids in the future.

This was a great place to stay for our Maui vacation! Great location with grocery store, food trucks and restaurants nearby. Very clean and had plenty of room for our group of 7. Beach chairs and boogie boards were available for us to use and the beach was close by! Beautiful grounds! Would stay here again!!

This is a lovely Hawaiian style resort - by the ocean, has lovely flowers, fishponds, pools,hottubs, BBQ grills,but not massive or loud amenities like water slides. There is good beach access and there are many options nearby for dining, shopping, and outdoor recreation. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our unit was recently updated, had a well-equipped kitchen, and nice features like AC, comfortable beds, lots of towels, a beautiful view, and many accessories for the beach and for kids.

We stayed in Papakea E407 and had a great time. Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable and there was space for everyone in our group of 8. The unit was well supplied with kitchen items, basic necessities, and even beach items (coolers, boogie boards, chairs). Parking was easy and plentiful. Location was great, with easy access to beaches, stores, and places to eat. The view was amazing and the grounds and unit were both well maintained. I would stay here again without hesitation!

We had a great stay! E407 fit the needs of our group perfectly. Each couple had a bedroom and the 4 adult 'kids' used the loft. We all shared the 2 bathrooms. Everything was in order and we had enough space for everyone. The view from the balcony was lovely, it was the perfect place to start the day with a cup of coffee while listening to the birds and the ocean. There were plenty of cooking utensils and equipment (though all we really cooked was breakfast). It was nice to have grills available and we used them one night for burgers. We used the beach chairs, boogie board, and coolers that were in the closet when we went out adventuring. Location was great. There was a little beach below the seawall that we swam at, though there was a better beach a few complexes down the beach walk. It was a 5 minute drive to Airport Beach where the snorkeling was excellent every morning. It was an easy walk to Times supermarket and ABC for groceries. The food truck court, Fish Market Maui, a few coffee shops, and Pizza Paradiso are all within walking distance for good food. My Perfect Stays contacted us before we left and a few times during our trip to make sure everything was going well. I would stay here again!

Our family of 10 stayed here April 9-16, 2022. We had some concerns about negative comments left by previous guests saying the resort is not kid friendly. We almost did not book it because of those comments. Let me assure you, our grands (2 boys age 13 and 2 girls age 10) thoroughly enjoyed this resort. They played tennis and pickle ball on the courts every day, as well as used the putting greens (and there are even 2 putters in the condo for your use) and the pool and hot tub. We never ran into anyone being negative towards children, so I am not sure where those comment came from. We did not experience any of that negativity. And the grounds are gorgeous! They are working on them constantly. It is such a beautiful place. As for the condo itself, WOW! That view from the patio is even better than pictured in the photos. We sat on the lanai and watched whales splash in the ocean every day, even being as late in whale season as it was. Unbelievably beautiful! The condo was well stocked. We did a Walmart grocery pickup near the airport after landing and purchases toilet paper and paper towels and laundry soap that we would not have had to buy. It was right there in the condo for us. The condo also has a few beach chairs and umbrellas and some boogie boards and beach toys. The kitchen had more than ample dishes and glasses and cooking utensils for the 10 of us. It also had some staples in the pantry like cooking spray and a few spices. That was a plus! We all really enjoyed this condo on this resort and would return in a heartbeat! The area was great, too. The Times Market grocery store is just a block away, as is the ABC store. We walked to Java Jazz in the same shopping center as the grocery store every evening for Shave Ice. One day we walked to Slappy Cakes for breakfast. Try the banana bread french toast. To die for! There are food trucks across the street that are open every evening from 5-9pm. We ate there one night and found lots of variety. Something for everyone. There is no beach at the resort. However, just a short walk across the little bridge gets you to sand and beach. Our granddaughters snorkeled there several times and had a blast. We went to Honolua Bay to snorkel the first day. It is very rocky and if you have anyone with a disability, they likely could not navigate it. But it is beautiful there. We enjoyed banana bread and fresh lemonade and apple bananas at the market across the street. I could go on and on. It was great

We couldn’t have been any more pleased with the condo. The beach amenities (chairs, snorkel gear, towels, and umbrellas) were a huge plus. Communication from My Perfect Stays was also top-notch! Thanks for making our stay so great. Parking was plentiful, and the location can’t be beat. The resort amenities (pools, hot tubs, putting green, shuffleboard, pickle ball, tennis courts, etc.) gave us plenty of free activities to keep us busy.

Our accommodations were wonderful for our family of 9. We had originally scheduled this trip in 2020. What a joy to be able to take this trip now, and have this lovely place to stay. It was perfect for our 3 and 5 year old granddaughters, and it was perfect for us as well. This area has so much to do with very little driving. The beaches we visited were close by, and getting to Lahaina for more tourist activities was a breeze. The condo itself had plenty of beach towels, coolers, and beach chairs. Snorkel Bobs was a short walk away for our rental needs. We had the perfect vacation!! Thanks!!

We had a wonderful family vacation staying at Papakea. This was such a lovely space for all nine of us. We were able to get to several different beaches within a short drive. We used many of the amenities offered by the resort. My granddaughters especially liked the pools!! Many memories were made!!

This was a great home base for 2 parents and 4 twenty somethings to explore the area. It was in a great location - close to the boardwalk, food trucks, restaurants, grocery store all within walking distance. The unit had ample space for the 6 of us and we truly appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. We loved having the pool/hot tub/shuffleboard and we used them all when at the resort. So nice to have sand chairs/cooler/boogie boards in the unit for our use. Loved our time on Maui and our stay here.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Everything was as described. When you arrive, make sure you take a good look around in all the drawers and cabinets throughout the entire condo so that you know everything that is available. They worked really hard to make sure guest’s needs were met. I would agree about sound from the adjacent condo deck coming into the master bedroom. After tolerating an excessively noisy first night, I contacted the Papakea front desk and ask them to very nicely review the 10pm-8am outdoor quiet hours with the occupants and it was great for the rest of stay. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

9 of us stayed in the condo pretty comfortably. There were a few things we found that didn’t work (bedroom fan/light, one of the blenders, etc) but we were able to go without. The owner did offer to send someone to repair things but we decided not to as it wasn’t neccesary. The condo had a nice balcony with a nice view of the ocean. Could hear the waves from the main bedroom which was wonderful!

The place was nicely done: Comfortable, well stocked kitchen, wide-screen TV's, comfortable beds, decent view of the ocean plenty of furniture/furnishings for the 10 of us. It would have been better for our family if there were only 6 of us, maybe 8, but having 10 adults (7 women, 3 men) sharing 2 bathrooms was a bridge too far.

Overall great experience. Site is kept clean, has activities (pickle ball), is within walking distance of stores (ABC) and restaurants (Slappy Cakes and fast food but higher end venues requires a short drive be it in nearby Napili or Kaanapali). Parking was close to the unit and always available. The interior of our unit was clean, had AC and fans which kept us cool whenever needed, fully stocked kitchenware (they had everything—pots, pans, flatware, blenders, etc or enough for the 10 of us), washer/dryer and wide-screen TV’s. Shortcomings were minor for which they have no control over (small balcony with a partial view of the ocean). We would stay here again should we come back to the Lahaina/Kaanapali area but would see if we could get an ocean view unit.

OK, let me start with MyPerfectStays. We have stayed at a lot of different Air BnB type houses, and dealt with a ton of different property management companies over the last 15+ years. MyPerfectStays was one of the best I have ever dealt with. Everything was exactly as they said it would be, communication was great, and we have zero complaints about any element of working with them. 5 STARS!! Second, lets talk about the Papakea. We stayed here before 18 years ago on our honeymoon, so we knew what we were going to get. Papakea was nice, clean, all amenities were as advertised, and we were completely satisfied with everything! Again, 5 STARS!! Lastly, the room. E407 was immaculate. Everything was updated, everything worked, it came with so much good stuff in the room for us to use at the beach, and the views were spectacular. All of the beds were super comfortable, which is a big deal. There was plenty of everything, for all 6 of us. We would totally come back. Thank you Papakea and MyPerfectStays for helping us have a great vacation!!

This was an excellent Airbnb experience and the perfect location and condo resort. The pools and property were so well maintained. Multiple pools and hot tubs and BBQs so never to be crowded. Beautiful views from the condo. Lots of beach supplies and PERFECT for our 10 month old (new travel crib, nice high chair). Some shops and restaurants near by but also short drive to downtown Lahaina and Kaanapali beach Whalers Village and Napili. We had our whole family of 8 (with room for more) here ranging in age from 10 months —-70 years old and it was great to have such a nice condo on a nice property where the older people could hang back and relax while the young ones would go out for the day. Highly recommend!

This condo was amazing with a great location! The Lanai is situated perfectly so that it gets shade in the afternoons, making it very comfortable to sit outside an enjoy the view. It is great for families. The upstairs loft has a lot of space for kids to sleep. Papakea includes 2 hot tubs and 2 pools that are well cared for - kept very clean. Our kids spent a lot of time at the pools. The condo included 4 boogie boards and 4 chairs which come in handy when visiting the beaches. We had a great time, and really recommend the location for others! Thank you!

Beautiful, spacious, good location, whale watching from your balcony, everything in the kitchen you need, loved it. I would say that the beach is pretty small but you are only about 3 minutes from Kaanapali Beach. I would for sure stay here again.

The condo was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, exactly like the photos. There were plenty of basic supplies for the week like cleaning supplies, soaps, wraps, tissues, toilet paper etc. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with plenty of everything needed for preparing, cooking and dining in the condo. We didn’t use it but but there is also a beach closet with beach chairs etc. We had a minor plumbing problem and my perfect stays was very prompt in sending a plumber. About the only thing that might have improved the condo would be a little better lighting in the living room for reading and wider parking spaces in the parking lot.

Papakea Resort was great! It's within walking distance of a grocery store, food truck park, and tons of restaurants. The grounds were cleaned every morning and we took full advantage of the hot tub, pool, and grilles. There isn't a beach front in the resort, but you have access to a beach on a pathway that takes you to a nearby resort if you want. Plus, there are plenty of great beaches within a 5-10 minute drive. We had 9 adults in our party, and the place felt big enough for all of us to move around comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, but all of the knives are pretty dull so be aware of that if you're planning to do a lot of cooking. Also, the disposal seemed to smell after use, but a little baking soda and vinegar down the drain helped with that. I would definitely come back to this resort for my next visit to Maui. The staff were helpful and My Perfect Stays reached out multiple times during our visit to be sure we had everything we needed.

My Perfect Stays was good with communication and attentive while we were there. The place is very nice. An older facility, but the grounds are immaculate and beautiful. The unit is nicely upgraded and comfortable. We had 10 people in the unit, which is tight but very doable. We are a close family so it worked for us. No complaints about beds (the one I slept in was very comfortable in the master bedroom). The location is great. I'm missing our nightly ritual of watching the sunset from the water. Plenty of lounge chairs on the grass and by the pool. None of this, "Pay to reserve a chair" nonsense. No restaurant or bar on-site but plenty a short walk away if you want that. Pools were nice and I believe they are salt water pools which was nice on the skin instead of chlorine.

This was a great place to stay. The condo was really nice, it was nicely decorated & we really like the bamboo cabinetry. The grounds were beautiful- the pool was also great, never crowded & very close to your own little private beach. The location was great- really close to just about everything we needed during our stay (grocery, gas station & restaurants etc.) overall our experience was great & we would recommend renting this unit.

We loved it at Papakea! Great location and great amenities, lots of stuff to see and do. The space comfortably fit 6 adults and our small kids... it made our family vacation that much more enjoyable to have a home base for our Maui adventures!

Jude was very attentive and available during the whole time we were staying. There was unfortunately a long power outage during our stay which did affect the resort and we were without electricity for one afternoon through the next late morning, sadly a lot of food wasted..the rooms were nice and showers and toilets were separate from the sinks so people could utilize both at the same time which was nice. If you are in need of the sofabed though, I'd rethink it because it's in one of the worst shapes I've ever seen, it's at such a downward slope and the bed itself never inflates or shapes up, you feel every nook and bar. That being said though, everything else was great. Communication was great throughout the stay, amenities were nice, and you have pool and beach access (to a certain extent).

e was clean and very functional for us. This was our first trip using Airbnb. I was always apprehensive about what we were paying for and I am pleased to say that the place was as beautiful as the pictures that are shown on the website. We had a wonderful time and the condo was better then I had imagined. The pictures on VRBO were accurate. There were 10 of us and it worked out well even with 2 people on the pull out couch. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony every morning and watched for whales.

This condo is fantastic!! Amazing views and comfortable accommodations for 5 adults. This place was amazing! Fit my family of 9 and still had a extra bed! Beautiful condo on beautiful grounds. Absolutely loved the location. The closet was full of chairs, ice chests,snorkeling gear, and even boogie boards. My favorite part was getting up in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony , enjoying the beautiful views.

Perfect maui vacation setup for families

Having already been to Maui on our honeymoon at one of the major hotels, we were looking to return with kids and grandparents and the Aston Papakea fit the bill. The grounds and views were spectacular: -The maintenance crews were out there for hours each morning. -Family friendly pool area. Kids can be kids without upsetting older folks and romantic honeymooners -We saved hundreds of $ by shopping at the nearby grocery store and using one of the many new Weber grills surrounding the pool -The lone drawback is the lack of a sandy beach directly in front of the complex (due to the sea wall). You either have to walk from complex...or better yet make 5 min drive to Kahekili beach "airport beach" by the Westin villas. Highly recommended beginner snorkelers As others have mentioned the reviews aren't fair. This isn't a major hotel and each unit is individually owned/decorated, etc. Our unit E407 was beautiful, well appointed (renovated in late 2017) and most of all clean. However, if you are looking for daily room service, breakfast in bed and the full "honeymoon experience", then look elsewhere. Vikki from myperfectstays also did a wonderful job. She really helped alleviate our concerns and minor plan changes due to hurricane lane (thankfully mostly a non-event in Maui)

We stayed at Papakea with a large group of family. Every morning we’d sit on the patio with our coffee soaking in the fresh new sunshine all while the property maintanance team was busy cleaning and preparing the grounds for another new day. Everything was so beautiful! Not just because it was surrounded by the wonderful ocean but also because of the hard work and daily care the team at Papakea put into this location. We will absolutely stay here again when we return to the island. And hopefully that’s soon because we already miss the amazing warmth and sunshine

We had a great time in Unit E407, newly remolded and beautiful!! They thought of everything that you could want or need in this condo,kitchen items/laundry/comfy linens and bathroom items. The unit was spotless and spacious for our family of 6, we had plenty of beds, there is only one sofa for sitting but there are plenty of chairs at the table and bar. There is a closet full of beach items as well as plenty of beach towels to borrow so no need to pack those in your suitcase. The unit is located right next to the stairwell, most people were polite and quiet during quiet hours, we did go speak with some neighbors below us about 2 in the morning during our visit but then they were quiet and no problems after that. The resort has lots to offer for activities, pool, spa, shuffle board, mai tai's in the cabana on certain afternoons as well as yoga and water exercise classes, these are included in your $17 a day resort fee(if you have more than one car it's also $5 a day extra). This is ocean front property, not beach front, but there are beaches close by if you favor a walk, or a short drive will get you to Napilli Bay which is the best. The AC worked well in the unit and even though it was a heat wave and tail end of hurricane Hector our unit stayed cool and dry. There are also a couple of good eating places within a quick walk, our FAVE was Java Jazz... good food breakfast,lunch and dinner! Live music in the evenings and reasonably priced for a vacation destination, we also enjoyed pizza and gyros at Paridiso Pizza and breakfast at Slappy Cakes, just be prepared for a hour wait for breakfast so go before your too hungry, it's a very popular spot. The My perfect stay team was great about contacting us to see if we needed anything(which we didn't) and making sure our vacation stay was pleasant, we would be happy to recommend this property to friends and family who are looking to stay in Maui. Aloha! PS... only recommendation would be to put a "traveler guest book" in the condo, it's always fun to see where others have traveled from and what they enjoyed on their stay, we have gotten great recommendations for food and activities in the guest books at other properties.

We, 3 families had a great stay at this place, they had plenty of supplies, fully stocked kitchen. The grocery store is right across the street, super convenient. And it is in the short driving distance of many attractions and sandy beaches. We also enjoyed daily resort activities and tennis court which they can rent rackets for free. I would stay in this area again. There's another condo right next to it (Honan Kai) that has better pools though. This place does have very strict check in and check out time and rules.

We had a great time at Papakea! Great location if you want to visit beaches around Napili and Kaanapali! We had 2 families, 4 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of room. Beds were comfy, kitchen was great - lots of appliances/utensils etc. Pool was never that busy and we were there during prime spring break. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

We stayed in E407. We very much enjoyed our stay. PROS: The location was great and easy to get around. There is no beach access but access to the beach is about a 10 min walk away which was just fine for us. The kids loved the pool - there is a cold pool and a heated pool along with two hot tubs. The beds, sheets and pillows were very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Our vacuum and the screen door were both broken but when we messaged the property management company it was dealt with and fixed very quickly. CONS: There is no room in the kitchen for dry groceries as the cupboards are all full. You are not allowed to hang wet stuff on the balcony, only in the bathroom but the master bathroom doesn't have anywhere to hang wet stuff. No hooks. The balcony furniture was awkward - the high stools made it challenging to sit outside for any length of time. I had previously read a review that said the owners invested 200K into improvements, however, I'm sure that was not our place as it was just ok decor wise. Overall, we very much enjoyed our time at Papakea. The people were nice, great location, comfortable accommodations.

As the listing states, the owner did spend over $200,000 on the remodel. The unit has a brand new kitchen with brand new appliances, all new flooring throughout the unit including the upstairs carpet. Both bathrooms were completely remodeled with gorgeous tile and granite. And the owner also purchased some new furniture pieces and artwork including the living room sofa. Exceeds All Expectations

We expected a beautiful condo, but what a FANTASTIC remodel on this place. It is so wonderful that a family member argued that it wasn't the same condo as in the pictures. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. If you want to relax and truly enjoy life, this is the place to be. The ONLY negative I would say is that we did not have storage place for our food that wasn't refrigerated, we had to store it on the counter top. Aside from that, absolutely no negatives. I would includes photos of the remodel if possible, since I cannot here, I will on TripAdvisor (this beauty needs to be displayed). Thank you for a WONDERFUL first trip to Maui.... we hope to return and will be looking for this condo again when we do.

The grounds of the condo are beautiful! Our view was spectacular. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. The hot tub was perfect. The size of the condo was spacious - loved having 2 full baths and a loft!

This unit was everything it was promoted to be. Large and open. Great location for visits to the west end of Maui. Communications with the owner and check-in/check-out were a breeze. We enjoyed our time greatly. It was a perfect family vacation center. Searching hard to find a drawback, I'd say it has to be the openness. Bedrooms 2 & 3 connect to the large great room (#3 is a loft over the great room). My 19 & 20 year old kids don't arise when I do so I had to be a bit cautious clanging around in the kitchen early in the morning. The unit does not have central air conditioning but with the breezes did a good job of cooling most of the time. We really enjoyed sharing this combination of "resort" grounds and amenities combined with the "direct homeowner" experience. Dana, glad you shared with us!

Great vacation. This was our second trip to Maui but my daughters friend first trip. The grounds of the papakea are wonderful and relaxing. Everything was right there for us. Walk across street to great resturants and shops. Make sure to check out the pizza it was amazing. Everything in easy access. Make sure to go to the gazebo for breakfast, but go early lines start early. Take a short drive to the Honolua Bay to snorkel. The condo was great, we got great ocean breezes in the evening which helped being on the top floor meant it could get rather hot. The air conditioner is a window unit which kept the downstairs cool, but being in the loft it could get warm, but it did cool down. Thank-you for working with us and letting us have a later check-out time due to our late flight.

Loved our stay at your condo. There were five of us and each couple had a private bed and bath. My granddaughter loved the loft - like being a princess. The condo is well cared for and roomy. My family of 9 had a fantastic time in your condo. The condo, view and perfect location was perfect. Close walk to the grocery store and close to great beaches. We had access to so many extras that were greatly appreciated. The only thing I could suggest would be some good pots and pans and BBQ tools. Just wanted to thank you and to let you know we enjoyed our time in your lovely condo. This was a long time coming as we haven't taken a big family vacation since 1999. Our kids were little then and now all three are in their 20's. My one son decided to bring his girlfriend and also decided to bring my mother along as she has never been to Hawaii. Needless to say your condo was roomy enough for all 7 of us! We will never forget this trip as we celebrated two birthdays, Mother's Day and my son proposed to girlfriend!!! The grounds were beautiful, our view was wonderful of the ocean, pool and garden area. We were all sad the day we were leaving. Mahalo and hope to be back one day soon!

We loved the condo and the fantastic view. We had friends stay at another condo in Papkea and they have 4 kids like us, so the children had tons of fun. Just to mention a few items about the condo, the railing to the loft seemed quite sticky (unsure why, was it the humidity?) and the shower tap was older and finicky. All in all, we would rent this property again. Thanks!

A group (6) of us stayed in this condo for about 9 days and it was perfect in every way. Lots of room for privacy as well as gathering together. The condo was fully equipped with everything we could have wanted or needed. There are two pools & hot tubs on the property to choose from, plus lots of other activities and access to the beach is close too. On the days that were rainy, we drove South and enjoyed full days of fun on the sun filled beaches around Kihei and Wailea. I will most definitely stay in this condo again if the opportunity comes up. It was very clean and the property surrounding the condo was beautiful.

We stayed in this beautiful unit for two weeks this January. There were two couples and 4 kids under 4. This is our third year in Maui and this unit was the first to meet all our needs. There was a lot of space, comfortable beds, a very well equipped kitchen and a stunning view. The grounds are beautiful, there is a ton of room for kids to run around, 2 putting greens, 2 shuffleboards on the ocean, 2 pools and hot tubs, Koi ponds and pathways. The owners of this unit were very helpful and extremely accommodating. We will be staying here next year and would most defiantly recommend this unit to anybody wanting an amazing vacation spot on Maui.

What a great week we had at Dana and Paula's condo at Papeka! I did a lot of research and I can tell you that it is hard to find a 3 bedroom condo with an ocean view that doesn't cost a mint. The condo: The room and set up was perfect. Easily accessible by elevator or stairs. Once in, there were two great bedrooms and a loft that was perfect for our three daughters. The kitchen had everything you would need and we cooked in most nights - including Thanksgiving. The lanai had a great view of the ocean as well as the pool and beautiful grounds. My mother spent almost the whole week out there. The owners have been very thoughtful and included so many things you might need. You don't have to rent putters - they have them there for you. You don't have to rent snorkel gear - they have it right there! Plenty of extra beach towels and also beach chairs and coolers. The two days we went to other beaches (Napila and Kapalua) we had everything we needed. I hated to leave and would totally recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a restful, traditional Hawaiian experience and not overwhelmed with crowded resort traffic. The resort: The Papakea is a perfect low-rise resort. Not crowded like the big hotels. The grounds were beautiful. The pools and hot tubs were great and the putting green was a big hit with the kids. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk away. The next door hotel is partners with the Papakea. Basically you get everything they get, but at half the price and without the large resort feel. It was great to walk next door to their little beach and use their chairs, order drinks etc. We loved the whole thing!

Dana, your property was beautiful and you made it and cozy and comfortable as possible. It was quiet and the ocean view we had was breathtaking. Your condo was stacked with all the basic necessities so we were able to function as if it was our own home. Thanks for providing the boogie boards and golf clubs, the kids had a blast. We saved some money with all that you provided. The convenience of having a full kitchen and our own washer and dryer was great! We had a total of 3 families in your condo, so the layout of the rooms and how they were spread out worked out great. You utilized every little space available effectively. I would definitely rent this out again and would highly recommend it.

This roomy condo fit all of our desires. Plus great views of ocean & property. Shady lanai and front master bedroom big plus. Loved going to sleep listening to the waves.
Chill spot for family getaways

The condo was perfect for what we needed. One Queen and two twins upstairs in the loft, Two other bedrooms with queen size beds. BBQ grills by the pool, shuffleboard and putting green, nice hot tub and pools and even some free Mai Tais on Thursdays ;) Close walking distance to coffee shops and grocery store and short drive to Lahaina. We rented a jeep one day and drove the road to Hana which was way less touristy and remote. However if a chill vacation with convenience is what your after I highly recommend this spot. Plenty of cooking utensils, cups, glasses etc and even some beach towels and chairs!

I am writing this review to let anyone interested in this property know about the eoutstanding service we received from My Perfect Stays, the management firm for this property. We booked the condo for a week in Dec. but then had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts. Prior to our canceling, I spoke with Nisha the reservation manager, on the phone. She was quite pleasant; very friendly, professional and wanted to make certain that all our needs were met. She answered my questions concerning the condo and about activities in the area for teenagers and emailed the name of a concierge to contact. Tori, My Perfect Stays general manger, was quite accommodating when I needed to cancel reservations. There was never a problem. Both Nisha and Tori made sure that our deposit was refunded along with the fee from VRBO. We will definitely book with My Perfect Stays again and will happily recommend them to family and friends.
The property was very neat and clean. Setting was outstanding and the view from the deck was breathtaking

We used the grills outside at least four nights and that saved us a lots of money. The location was great and we were less than an hour from very nice snorkeling and swimming. The Condo was spacious and all the utensils we could need were provided. Dishwasher worked well and there were plenty of towels and soap and shampoo to get us started. The front desk was very helpful and we scheduled both guided and unguided trips through them. We had an outstanding week. Absolutely no complaints
Good for two families

The unit worked well for our two families with four total kids. The loft was great for them to have their own space. There were some things to consider through if you have small ones of your own. The loft has a low wall wall over the space below with a bed next to that low wall. If your kids are tempted to stand or jump on a bed, this could be dangerous. The stairs to the loft are quite narrow and younger kids might have problems on them. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and enough dinnerware for our group. One of the closets had a pack'n'play that we were able to use for our two year old, which was really helpful in not having to rent a child's bed. The unit seemed to be somewhat lacking on its maintenance. The bathtub in the master bedroom barely drained, which we reported and never got a response to so guessing it was a known problem. There were light switches that didn't seem to work or turn on lights like in the sink area outside the master bath. Overall at the price, location, and ability to have two families into the same unit made it worthwhile. The minor issues will probably be addressed by the resort if they haven't already.

Sleeping arrangements for a group of 8 was probably the best I found near the beach. Besides a few cosmetic issues mainly centering around caulking issues in the bathrooms, the place was more than adequate. Plenty of beach supplies, condiments, laundry supplies, trash bags and some personal bathroom supplies. Check the unit before you go to the grocery store. Couldn't see the sunset or sunrise from the lanai. But the sunsets from the lawn near the rockwall are amazing. Nearby relatively cheap restaurants are pretty decent for the price. Grocery store close to the condo is about the same price as the safeway or foodland in Lahaina. Adjacent beach is fine for building sand castles, laying out, watching sunsets but narrow sand. Not good for boogy boarding or surfing. FYI the timer upstairs controls all three AC units. Tennis courts were rarely ever crowded. Shuffle board and putt putt were fun. 1 Heated pool, 1 nonheated pool, and two large hot tubs.

The condo was clean and comfortable with beds for everyone. A nice view is a big deal to me and I was a little concerned when I booked this condo that we might be giving that up here, but it had that too with the beautiful grounds, pool and ocean in the distance. I didn't feel disappointed in the view at all. The kids especially enjoyed the amenities and it is a gorgeous spot for enjoying the beautiful ocean and swimming.
