Papakea E209 Description

Air Conditioning

Papakea E209 is a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo on the second floor with a newly installed split air conditioning system. The condo can accommodate up to 4 guests with the addition of a queen-size sofa bed in the living area. The condo offers dining for 4 and a fully equipped kitchen with custom-made maple cabinets, recessed lighting, full-size appliances, tiled flooring throughout, ceiling fans, and wonderful ocean breezes. In the bedroom, you will find a comfortable king-size bed and large mirrored closet doors. The bathroom is beautifully updated with a walk-in glass-enclosed shower, detailed with tile and stone. This condo also has a private washer and dryer for added convenience.

Great resort location, offering stunning ocean views with Molokai in the distance! This condo overlooks the resort and pool from the desired second floor of the E building. Enjoy watching the brilliant sunsets or morning coffee while whales breach during our winter months. Year-round, enjoy lively sea life, perfect for snorkeling or watching our sea turtles play!

Papakea Resort offers lush tropical landscaping, koi lagoon ponds, oceanfront saltwater pools, hot tubs, shuffleboards, golf greens, pickleball, and tennis courts! It is located just North of the famous Ka’anapali Beach. Walk to nearby local shops, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is a quick drive to Whalers Village and many of Maui's top beaches like Kaanapali, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay.

No Resort or Amenity Fees!
Parking is free for one vehicle; additional vehicles are $5/day. This fee is collected by the Resort's Front Desk staff upon arrival.

Papakea Resort is completing property improvement projects. Guests should expect construction noise during daytime working hours. Dates and work areas are subject to change due to weather, tides, or field conditions. Please contact our office for complete details on the following resort improvement projects.

· Seawall Repair Project (Phase 2): Dates 10/12/26 to 7/31/27. Scope of work: Replace rocks along the ocean side of the seawall and backfill the sinkholes that have developed adjacent to the seawall. General Construction hours: 8am to 5pm Mon-Fri. Oceanside rock restoration schedule depends on daily tide and ocean conditions. Construction will begin near the Molokai shuffleboard area and is expected to continue there into early 2027. Work is expected to proceed towards Building L until complete.

Posted 9/24/26: The Lanai putting greens will be closed for maintenance from 9/29-11/10/26. The Molokai putting greens will be available during the Lanai service maintenance.

For a cancellation notice received after 14 days prior to the check-in date, a refund will not be issued other than the departure cleaning fee.

Papakea is a beautiful resort. There are lots of amenities including pools, hot tubs, grills in the pool area and putting greens. We did not utilize most of these but they looked nice. The unit is nicely updated, decorated and well equipped with a beautiful view from the lanai. Included in the unit were: -Washer/ dryer including pods -Beach towels -Boggie boards(one was broken) -Beach chairs -Cooler -Snorkel equipment but no mask Other pros: -Easy stroll to the ocean w nice sunset views. The property is oceanfront, not beachfront but access to the beach is close -Walking distance to a grocery store, snorkel rental, a few restaurants and a food truck park -There's book with recommendations of nearby beaches and places to eat that was helpful Cons: -The book with recommendations also details instructions for you at check out. I find it annoying that you have to take out the trash since there's a pretty decent cleaning fee associated with the rental. I've never left any place I've rented a mess but I've also never had to take out the trash. -There's also a $17/day resort fee for parking a vehicle(this was disclosed in the description of the property) -Could use a broom since floors were a little sandy when we arrived plus would help with cleanup. -There's a vacuum in the unit but it wasn't very helpful in picking up sand. -Parking spaces are a bit tight, esp if you have a larger vehicle like an SUV Overall we loved the unit/ property and would love to visit again. Condo was very clean and well stocked with everything needed for a great vacation. Short walk to the pool and ocean was a plus. Beautiful resort and well maintained. Fantastic Views

We loved our stay! This condo has the best views of the ocean, pool and putting green. We were able to let our kids play outside and we could watch them from our lanai. It was a great place to sip morning coffee and sit and relax in the afternoon. You can swim in the ocean when it's low tide and it's a great swim spot. We would definitely stay here again.

Five Star accommodations at a two star price!

We enjoyed our stay at Papakea so much! We arrived around 10pm, and the registration staff was still there and were very helpful in getting us settled after a very long travel day. Our condo was very clean and they even had the air conditioning on and it was nice and cool inside for us. Given the fact that we were arriving so late, I knew we wouldn’t have time to stop and get coffee for the next morning, I had packed a small bag of ground coffee in my checked bag. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the welcome box, there was coffee and some snacks inside. That was a welcome surprise that solidified my confidence in my choice of accommodations for the week The entire property is clean, quiet and very welcoming to all ages. People of all ages, from young families to retired couples, all seemed to enjoy the pools, shuffleboard, putting greens and the AMAZING sunsets. Having 6 gas grills at each pool meant little to no waiting time when we wanted to prepare supper. I was impressed that the staff cleaned each grill every single morning to ensure that they were ready for the next day. In fact, I was impressed by the number of staff who kept the exterior of the property in excellent condition! The only negative thing, and this is not unique to Papakea, is the fact that from my perspective, the parking lot was very cramped and the spots were only as big as legally required. I realize that real estate is at a premium on Maui, and parking lots don’t generate revenue. If that is the only complaint about this property, I should consider myself lucky and living a charmed life! Thanks for sharing this property with us and we hope to visit again in the future!

Five Lovely stay at Papakea E209

My husband and I love to stay at Papakea for our visits to Maui. The resort is ideally located on the ocean and the property is beautifully maintained. E209 was a great condo! The sliding doors to the lanai open fully and slide easily. There is a split a/c which is quiet and efficient. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Lots of beach toys including cooler, chairs, umbrella, snorkels and masks.

My family and I just spent 5 nights in this beachside condo. Overall, I was very happy with the unit, the resort and the amenities. The check-in process was very easy. The resort has the benefit of a hotel with a front desk for check-in and check-out. The unit was comfortable and the kitchen was very well-equipped. We loved cooking and enjoying meals on the lanai. We used the gas grills by the pool several times. We had a lot of fun at the resort, making use of the pool, hot-tub, shuffle board and other lawn games. I appreciate that there were boogie boards, beach chairs and a cooler available for our use. I only have a couple criticisms: the TV was very small, and the ocean in front of the resort does not have a sandy beach. Getting a bigger TV would be an easy fix! That having been said, I would stay here again, and I recommend this condo.

Great stay! Only thing to be aware of is that the beach right in front isn’t really swimable due to sea wall and high tide. But absolutely amazing stay!!

Great Value

This was one of my favorite vacations. We were greeted so warmly when we checked in and our condo was ready for us 2 hours early. The condo was perfect. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy. Kitchen was fully equipped. The blender got a lot of use. Snorkeling gear, water shoes, beach towels, boogie boards and a cooler are provided. You do have to rent an umbrella, which I highly recommend. There is a washer and dryer. They also provide putters and golf balls. The grounds are meticulously cared for as are the hot tubs and pools. Love The Swimming Pool And Beach Access!

There are no restaurants or bars on the resort site, but it's an easy walk to some nearby. They do pest control visits as well. Love the swimming pool and beach access.

The unit, the amenities, service, location and everything else about this place is terrific! The unit had everything we could possibly need and everything is so close by. The pool and hot tubs are perfect and the sunsets here are amazing. Downtown Lahaina, whalers village, Leoda’s (must have pies!) are all a short drive. this the ideal location!

Great Ocean View!

This location has it all!

This was the perfect location for our family getaway. A short walk to stores, restaurants and the ocean boardwalk. Pools and beach access on site where beautiful and never too busy. The short drive to many activities and even the 45 min drive to Kahului is beautiful. Room was lovely and comfortable with lots of amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

The location is spectacular, close to all the things we need and like. Papakea Resort is very well maintained with plenty of parking. This is the second time we stayed at this resort and it is still as amazing as the last time and plan on coming here again. This particular unit was in one word. Adequate. It is a bit dated and we did not find any of the furniture particularly comfortable. The bed needs upgraded or replaced. But again the location and property can not be beat. We have been to Maui now 6 times and this is by far our favorite location.

Thanks so much for a great stay. Papakea was the perfect place for us, we loved the ocean view and having our own home-base there. The condo was very clean and in a great location (close to beaches, restaurants, shopping; but far from road to Hana). We'd come back!

Amazing View!

My boyfriend and I came to Maui for the first time together and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Papakea resort! The condo was clean, with a beautiful view, and in a great location. We did have issues with our fridge not working but other than that everything else was amazing and I would definitely recommend choosing to stay here for your vacation! :)

Very nice place

This is the second time that we have stayed at this property. The room we were in was clean and well kept and had a very nice view of the ocean. It was stocked with nice things like beach chairs, cooler, etc that we did not expect. The grounds are beautiful and tidy. I highly recommend this property.

It is always great to stay at Papakea E209! We love our coffee in the morning sun and cool libations in the afternoon shade on the lanai. The kitchen is truely fully stocked. Lots of beach goodies including masks, snorkles, fins, boogie board, chairs and cooler.

We love the Papakea Resort!

We were very happy with our stay in E209! The beds were comfortable, even the pull out couch, which you can’t usually find. The air conditioner worked well to reach even the back room to cool off for the evening. Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the snorkel gear and chairs. We hoped there might be boogie birds and an umbrella for the kids, but we we’re able to rent some at The Snorkel Store. Kids loved taking the putters and golf balls down to putt. For the evenings when we were all wiped out, the smart TV was nice to have to sign into our Disney+ account. The only negative is that we had to leave. We will definitely be looking to book E209 on our next visit to the Papakea. Mahalo!

Amazing value!

I stayed at the property with my two middle-school children, in June 2021 for two weeks. We had a blast! The property has everything one might need for a good vacation, very cozy with lots of little touches that made a big difference. So convenient. The kitchen is fully stocked. There is plenty of storage space. Great lighting. Super inviting balcony. Very quiet at night. Great location. So close to the beaches. Highly recommended!

Amazing Place!

This is THE apartment to stay! If you're looking for a good value for your money and explore Maui farther beyond than the regular tourist experience, look no further! The apartment gives you "a home away from home" feel. When we first arrived, the apartment was spotless, it still smelled freshly cleaned plus, the AC was already set at a perfect temperature. We even got a small gift left to us in the kitchen! The host would communicate consistently with us making sure everything was perfect, which it was. The apartment also includes a concierge which was usedul to find activities and hidden gems around Maui. The apartment included washer and dryer which was greatly appreciated. It even had snorkel gear, beach chairs and a cooler! We were not expecting that but, it made the experience all the more memorable to have all of those things readily available to explore Maui. The location is top notch! You will have endless food options around you, most of them at walking distance. You have a beach at walking distance. You even have a private back gate into an ABC store. I tell you, there's no better place to stay!

Stayed at papakea for two weeks with my perfect stays, fantastic setup. Loved having access to a washing machine in unit while staying for so long. Loved the resort and the view of the ocean. Parking was easy and the pickleball court is very nice. There was even a cooler with ice blocks for trips to the beach. Loved that the room had everything i needed.

Great Spot!

This was a great spot! I was worried about not being right by a sandy beach, but we loved hanging out by the sea wall and watching the sunsets and whales. There are small beaches within walking distance and Kapalua was just a short drive away and great for snorkeling and turtles. The pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, pickleball, etc. were open which wasn’t the experience we had at the resort we stayed at earlier in the week (closed due to covid). Staff was friendly and helpful and condo was clean and a great size for the 3 of us. Lovely view from the lanai which my husband loved on the days he worked remotely.

We were so impressed with the Papakea Resort! This was our first time staying in the Lahaina area, as we usually stay in Kehei, and we were very impressed. A lot of people we talked to (in hot tub, pool or by the BBQ's) have been coming to Papakea for years and now we know why.

Great location- view of the beach from the balcony, loved the in room amenities like coffeemaker and washer/dryer . This was a perfect place for my family and me to stay. Clean and comfortable, we had everything we needed for our trip!

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place, it far exceeded my expectations especially for the price! The location was amazing, being beachfront and being able to watch the sunsets was amazing. There were tennis courts available, multiple pools and hot tubs, shuffleboard, and putt putt! We had our 4 year old daughter with us and it was Great being right by the pool and only 10 minutes away from Baby Beach. They had the basic necessities for the kitchen, bathroom, laundry, etc. We definitely recommend staying here and will be booking with My Perfect Stays for our next Maui adventure!

Perfect location, relaxed vibe, clean, all the amenities you need for a perfect vacation in Maui. The resort is well maintained and surrounding garden is beautiful. The apartment itself was just what you need while on vacation! Location to Front St and the nearby mall was all within 10mins drive. We loved watching the sunset from the day beds close to the sea. Highly recommend!
