Papakea D404 is a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom condo featuring amenities such as a washer/dryer, vaulted ceilings, and air-conditioning. Located on the fourth floor, this condo can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests with a King bed in the master bedroom bedroom, a King bed in the second bedroom, two Twin beds in the loft-style third bedroom, and a Queen sleeper sofa in the main living area. The open-concept living room features Hawaiian-theme furniture with tropical decorations and a large flat-screen TV. A split A/C and ceiling fan are equipped in the living room to help stay cool.
On the main floor, retreat to the serene master bedroom with a King-size bed and a ceiling fan. The master ensuite bathroom boasts a dual sink vanity space and a shower/tub combo. Down the hall is the second bedroom which has a King-size bed. The spacious guest bathroom features a walk-in shower. Upstairs is the loft-style third bedroom with a two Twin-size beds. Also located in the loft is the third bathroom with a walk-in shower. Pack light and take advantage of the unit's washer and dryer for added convenience.
Unwind and dine al fresco on the private lanai with a dining table for 4 and a lounge chair. Take in the view of the Pacific Ocean and the lush gardens. A dining table for 4 is equipped in the unit so you may enjoy the view from inside with large sliding doors and windows. The remodeled kitchen is fully equipped with custom lighting, and overlay refrigerator, and full-size appliances. Ample counterspace makes meal prepping a breeze.
Papakea Resort offers lush tropical landscaping, koi lagoon ponds, oceanfront saltwater pools, hot tubs, shuffleboards, golf greens, pickleball, and tennis courts! It is located just North of the famous Ka’anapali Beach. Walk to nearby local shops, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is a quick drive to Whalers Village and many of Maui's top beaches like Kaanapali, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay.

Scope of work: Remove existing traffic coating, concrete repair and resurface preparation (including grinding), application of multi-coat traffic coasting system (each layer requires extended drying time). Work hours are 8am to 5pm Mon-Fri. During demolition, preparation, and repair work, walkways and the elevator will remain open to foot traffic. Occupants should expect construction noise and dust particularly during the grinding activities. During the walkway coating and drying time, AOAO staff will be stationed on the lanai side of the building to assist with screened access to occupied condos as the entry door will not be accessible. Work progression: Work will begin at the A building and work in building letter progression. Work on the D Bldg is slated for 9/1-9/11/2026. *Update as of 8/28/26 the walkway coating project for the D building has been postponed until further notice.
· Seawall Repair Project (Phase 2): Dates 10/12/26 to 7/31/27. Scope of work: Replace rocks along the ocean side of the seawall and backfill the sinkholes that have developed adjacent to the seawall. General Construction hours: 8am to 5pm Mon-Fri. Oceanside rock restoration schedule depends on daily tide and ocean conditions. Construction will begin near the Molokai shuffleboard area and is expected to continue there into early 2027. Work is expected to proceed towards Building L until complete.
Posted 9/24/26: The Lanai putting greens will be closed for maintenance from 9/29-11/10/26. The Molokai putting greens will be available during the Lanai service maintenance.
Posted 9/28/26: Please be advised that plumbing work will be performed beneath the concrete walkway fronting D103 and D104 10/19-10/23/26. Water will be shut off to the building on 10/21/26 between 8am and 5pm. The work will involve cutting the concrete slab and will generate construction noise during the workday. Any areas of the walkway that remain exposed at the end of each workday will be covered with plywood. Work hours (8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
Posted 10/5/26: Please be advised that the Molokai Pool and Spa will be temporarily closed for repairs from Wednesday, October 21, 2026, and will reopen on Friday, October 23, 2026. Unit was as described, very spacious for our 4 adults and 2 kids. Beds were comfortable, upscale appliances and included beach and kitchen items made for a great stay. The view from the balcony is wonderful and bonus that it didn't get direct sunlight. Resort was conveniently located and walkable to restaurants, shops and grocery store.

Nice access to pretty much anything you’d want to do. On the property are a few pools and hot tubs, putting green, shuffleboard, and beach access to snorkeling. And it’s not a far drive to other fun things to do and see. Restaurants are near by too. Like I said, it’s a great spot.

This condo and resort was such a treat. The condo was spacious, comfortable, and classy. The beds are extremely firm but we managed to sleep well overall. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. There were lots of beach and BBQ equipment for us to use as well including beach chairs, masks and snorkels, and reusable plastic wear for the pool area. The pools and hot tubs are really great. The resort uses salt water chlorine and it feels great on the skin. The pool temperature is just right. We used the putting green and enjoyed it more than we thought we would. The condo had putters and golf balls for us to use. The grounds here are beautiful and exceptionally maintained. We loved watching sunsets on the grass next to the seawall. MPS was nice to work with. Our unit was ready a little earlier than promised and they let us in early. This unit doesn't want you washing towels in the washer and dryer but MPS was happy to come bring some fresh towels by for us mid-week.

Lovely, clean, quiet, beautiful, and great location earned this place a 5 star rating. The kitchen was well appointed and there was ample space for 5 adults. Awesome that there were beach towels and chairs and even a cooler for us to use. The only disappointing (minor) things were the washer and dryer, which were less than robust.

Great pick on Maui! I feel the place is better than what the pictures show on the listing. Great kitchen with everything you may need. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Great patio and living area. (Sofa set has some wear and tear) Beach chairs and coolers provided for those chosen beach days. The place has a great ocean view from the patio and master bedroom, which I loved. The location has places within walking distance. The grocery across the way is more reasonable than going to Safeway. There are also plenty of restaurants or food options within walking distance. Take advantage of watching the sunset every night with just a quick stroll down to the water. Overall great option! I would stay there again! Thank you!!

This resort is a gorgeous place with great outdoor pools, hot tubs, mini golf and beautiful landscaping. All units look out with views of the ocean. Parking is great in shaded areas. The condo has one beautiful master suite with ocean views and the second bedroom has no view at all. The upstairs bedroom is nice but guests need to be quiet at night or early mornings as sound carry to the open loft. Having 3 bathrooms was nice. The location of the resort is convenient to great beaches and town. The house book has great suggestions for eating out and beaches.

My family of 6 (mom, dad, two boys, and two grandparents) enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. We liked the condo. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, toaster, blender, pots and pans, etc. The beds were firm but comfortable. They view was terrific and the common areas were spotless. We grilled hamburgers by the pool and enjoyed the beautiful landscaping.

Papakea Resort is a wonderful place to stay. Our condo unit was just as described. Only bad point, it was hot and humid while we were there and there was NO WAY that small AC could cool that unit. We did open all the windows, but it wouldn't cool down until 4 am and hot again by 10am. I would definitely stay here again despite that issue.

I Highly Recommend This Condo And Property!

The condo and grounds are exactly as shown in the photos. The view of the ocean from the lanai and master bedroom is actually way better than the photos! The size and location of the property is perfect. We never had an issue getting a lounge chair at the seawall. There are beach chairs in the condo for use if needed. You're in walking distance to 2 snorkel rental shops, 2 coffee shops, a food truck park, grocery store, restaurants, ABC store, shopping, and moped rentals. We stayed on the Molokai side of the property and accessed the beach from the stairs at the far right side (not the center as shown in the photo). During low tide there is a small beach for the kids to play in the sand. At high tide there is no beach so you'll need to plan your beach times accordingly. We snorkeled right from the beach between 2 reefs (standing depth) and saw more ocean life (including sea turtles!) than on the Molokini and Turtle Town snorkeling tour! I highly recommend this condo and property!!

Had a wonderful stay for 5 nights. The unit was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Can't beat the view and amenities at Papakea! This was our second time there and we'll definitely be back again. I didn't see it in the listing, but it's worth mentioning that the unit has beach mats and chairs, as well as toys and a couple snorkel masks. Great for families!

This was a lovely space with lots of charm. Great space for 3 people to stay and have complete privacy (3 bedrooms each with bathroom attached or near). The owners clearly got put a lot of care into and it was a lovely experience. Would stay again.

The condo was fine but the couches need to be replaced. They are very uncomfortable. The tv was ridiculous to figure out. Twice someone came to show us the details. The kitchen is very nice.

It was amazing. Words can’t explain how beautiful the site is and how local it is to all the popular beaches. My family absolutely loved it. Very quiet place, recommend it for older people, maybe small babies. Not very loud and lots of extended stay people. The beach was walking distance and the pool and jacuzzi absolutely divine. I will definitely come back to visit.

The condo was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and everything we needed for cooking purposes. Beach towels were large and seemed to be fairly new. Lots of beach-going gadgets like beach chairs and toys for the kids - our two 19-year-olds even took them to the beach !! The outdoor grills at the pool were clean and overall the complex is very well maintained. Only a couple of things kept this from being 5 stars. First, we thought the beach access would be right there at our condo, but we had to walk probably a couple of blocks to get beach access. That was a little disappointing. Perhaps mention of this in your advertisement would be a good thing. The other thing was (and I know this is standard procedure ...but...) checkout at 10 am without negotiation was frustrating. Perhaps a little more lenience in this area would go a long way to bring renters back. All in all, though, we had a great time and would recommend.

This condo is nice. It fit our family perfectly. It was well supplied as far as dishes, eating utensils, pots and pans. The washing machine and dryer are small, but that is to be expected. Some of dishes were not cleaned well and still had food residue, which was displeasing . There is a sticker on the bathroom mirror saying the owner uses high quality towels, but I only noticed 1 quality bath towel the rest were hospitality towels similar to any hotel. The furniture is out dated, but the updated kitchen with a nice subzero refrigerator offset that. Overall, we enjoyed the property. I'd definitely stay there again.

The property was what I was expecting. It was much like the description and the pictures. The personal touches like the beach equipment and binder of favorite places around the island was appreciated. The views were spectacular, so it was worth the 4 flights up. The only thing I had a problem with was learning how to “use” the air conditioner. It took me some time to find the instructions about the sensor and sliding glass door. Overall fabulous experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. My Perfect Stays did a wonderful job with communication from the minute we booked the condo. The condo is in a perfect and central location. I wish we had more days in Maui to really enjoyed all the amenities including the warm water swimming pool and cookout/grill stations. I know some reviews stated that there was no access to the beach, but I have to disagree. While there is not a beach per se, you do have access to the getting into the ocean and that we really enjoyed. The condo was well equipped, extremely clean and perfect for our needs. We really enjoyed our time here! So thank you and book up, the Perfect Stays people will make sure you are nothing but comfortable and happy!!

We had a great time at this condo. Good location walking distance to many eateries. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck in for coffee and meals. With a family of 5 with teen and adult children everyone was comfortable. Will absolutely stay again.

This unit was great for our family. It's a bit dated, but functions very well and we didn't have any complaints. The unit was well equipped, including beach towels, coolers, kids beach toys, and some snorkeling gear. I do recommend bringing your own spices from home if you like to cook. There wasn't much in the unit and the stores are so expensive on the island. The resort facilities are nice: pool, grills, shuffleboard and mini-golf. We didn't visit the tennis counts, but they are available as well. We didn't realize that the ocean front property is only a sea wall and no beach, so that was a bit disappointing for us. Beaches are nearby however. Overall we were very pleased with this rental! Mahalo!

We had 3 couples staying at this airbnb. Huge plus was that this place had 3 bathrooms and it was easy to get everyone showered and ready for dinner in record time. The grills down by the pool work great and the general property amenities were nice. The ocean view is also great but due to the angle you will need to walk out to the grass to glimpse the sunset. We had enough space but realized that the upstairs loft is well, a loft. It was open air and that couple had next to no privacy. It would have been perfect for kids. Generally, a great location with good food nearby. A little bummed that you had to drive to beaches but a lot of Maui can be like that. I would recommend this Airbnb.

Had a wonderful stay at Papakea D404! It was wonderfully clean and had everything we could ever need while on the island. We brought our 4 kids and there were bags of beach toys, a fold out beach blanket, 4 beach chairs, towels and more. Condo had every utensil you could think of. Tons of pots and pans, and even a blender. Highly recommend!

The apartment has everything you need. Bit small for 6 people (only 4 chairs on balcony, 5 dining chairs, 5 seats in living room) but we made it work. Facilities if the complex are nice but minimal. Pools are pretty small, not enough lounge chairs available most of the time, zero shade. No food or drink service. Beach is inaccessible. Also, most of the action is at least a 30 minutes drive. There is a grocery store across the street.

Overall fantastic. Only one small issue, we asked for a late chec-out, which was only possible by extending our stay one more night, to which we agreed. However at the resort, the front desk was not informed by the team, which caused a 30 minute confusion in idduing a new key.

This is our 4th time staying at the Papakea resort, and the first time we've had a 3 bedroom unit. It's great for the kids to have their own bedrooms and not have to share. The unit has everything you could need - beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, coolers of various sizes, plastic cups, laundry soap, everything! And the view from the balcony is spectacular - highly recommend!

Our stay with My Perfect Stays was absolutely wonderful. We stayed for a week. Our host checked in a few times without being intrusive. I simply had no reason to interact with them because the unit was so well-stocked. There are so many annoying minor expenses when you travel that can add up. A weeks worth of toiletries, coffee filters, paper towels, dish and laundry detergent and many other things that I can’t think of at the moment were all taken care of! There were plenty of towels and a few beach chairs too. As an unexpected bonus, there were plenty of grilling supplies (there are 3 or 4 grills by the pool that are cleaned nightly) that we were able to take advantage of. It was a nice surprise to be able to have a cookout night. The temperature inside was comfortable, and there were no issues with pest control or anything along those lines. The listing said there was a sofa bed. The sofa would not be conducive for an adult to sleep on for a full week. However, between the two kings and two other beds, it is accurate to say that the unit sleeps up to six people. We were all comfortable. Also, having three bathrooms, all located adjacent to their respective bedrooms, was so convenient. There were no issues as far as hot water in the showers. This was definitely a five-star stay and I would without question stay here again. Great value and location!

The condo owners and management company have put a lot of thought into making this unit as comfortable as possible for visitors. Exploring the condo, we found beach chairs, umbrella, snorkeling gear, and toys to use on our beach excursions. There were also small ice chests (with blocks) to bring snacks and drinks along. We had some small issues that popped up during our stay, but Stacy from My Perfect Stays was prompt in taking care of them. Heads up that the AC is only in the living room. All the rooms have celing fans and there are also several free standing fans scattered throughout the unit, but the rooms still get really warm. I imagine this is only really an issue during the hottest months (like August).

The property is old but well maintained. Wonderful location. There were two areas that did not meet my expectations. The television in the living room was terrible. Maybe it’s a bad cable box but three old golfers had nothing but trouble with it for the entire stay. Second, the air conditioning unit is inadequate for the size of the unit. Not sure what can be done to improve this. It’s a split system unit, not central air. Most everything else was fine and we did enjoy our stay. As they say, Maui No Ka Oi!!!

Our family has been staying at Papakea for 15 years, and we've stayed in a variety of condos. We really enjoyed our time in D404. There was plenty of room for our three kids and our oldest daughter's friend. We especially enjoyed the third bathroom upstairs. The condo had all the BBQ supplies, chairs, sand toys and ice packs we needed. That is not always the case. The view of the grounds and ocean is spectacular, turning my morning tea into a cherished routine. Thanks for making our stay this summer cozy, yet spacious.

We loved the condo, location, and ability to make our own food and save money. We were close to grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants. The only con is the Resort is not kid friendly. As there are families at this Resort there are no kid activities and very restrictive in the pool, can't toss a football or have a floats. Also, only a very small beach area not enough to sit on if you didn't want to drive to another. Areas of shade palapa or umbrellas near the shore would be nice. All in all we would recommend and return.

Our party of 6 people (2 couples and 2 singles) booked this property for a quick, mid-week wedding of our mutual friend. We all had strict timelines to adhere to, due to a variety of work and personal reasons, and only needed the property for 3 nights. We were able to add all of us as guests to the property, check-in at varying times, and find parking on the premises. Both couples had a room and bathrooms to themselves, and our additional two friends had a bathroom on the upper loft level to themselves, as well. The reason that we booked a 2 bedroom, 3 bath condo was to afford us all bathrooms to prepare for the wedding without clamoring over each other. This was a major selling point of this property. Upon our arrival, check-in was as described in the booking. It was a smooth transition, even with our arrivals being across a 24 hour period. Keep in mind that WiFi and parking are additional charges upon arrival. The pictures on the website truly are an accurate rendition of the property. This condo had beautiful views from the master bedroom and the balcony. The kitchen and common areas were remarkably well-designed, and, until all 6 of us were in the condo simultaneously, it did not feel crowded or as if we were crawling over each other. In an incident entirely out of the property's hands, a telephone pole was struck on the street outside of the property cutting power to the facility for an entire night of our stay. Unfortunately, this also occurred 90 minutes prior to the wedding that we had all traveled to attend.....haha so much for those 3 separate bathrooms. After contacting guest services with My Perfect Stay regarding the incident, they are currently being responsive to our concerns. While we would have liked to have had more communication during the power outage, we also recognize that this was an extraordinary circumstance. On a final note, I would caution anyone booking any properties through AirBNB to look through the additional fees. We have had some questions throughout this booking that could have been answered with a more detailed evaluation of the total cost of booking on our end, and more clarity offered on the booking manager's end. With that being said, the title of this booking is accurate as to the "nightly room charge" but is not accurate as to the total cost per night of the booking once all fees have been incurred. As a whole, we felt that the property was as advertised in the booking through AirBNB and met our expectations. Jenny and Ben

A very pleasant residence that has been updated nicely to accommodate up to six. Beautiful views of the ocean, Molokai in the distance, and frequent rainbows from this top floor lanai. A/C helps at night for the upper loft sleeping. Great airflow throughout the day with cross ventilation. This entire complex has many amenities it provides to visitors; pools, shuffle board, putting greens, new and clean BBQ grills for cooking out (several that are typically used each night by guests), and an elegant series of water ponds and landscaping that is exquisite. Some of the tropical plants and bird life views are just amazing here. You feel like your are on your own little island of paradise. Guests generally follow a custom of quiet time outside of pool usage hours. Strolls along the coastline provide extremely bright and crisp sunsets, along with deep ocean blues. This residence was provided with all the pots/pans, dinner ware, BBQ utensils, games, books, and two new color TVs. The facility has exceptional internet service, along with up to the minute broadcasting reception. More equipment and supplies if you want to go to the beaches that are nearby. Beachfront at this complex is limited to times of low tide. We also appreciated the friendly contact by the My Perfect Stays staff to assure us that we had everything that we needed. The parking lots appear secure with limited access. There is a quick secured gate access to the nearby ABC Store that requires use of room cards to get back onto the property. Recycling bins are available. The entire complex has a staff that continuously clean, maintain, and make your vacation encounter truly enjoyable. In addition, there is a concierge service provided in the main office that is great for planning ideas and scheduling events for the family. We had made our own advanced schedules for two luaus; but employed them to plan the best zipline for our family along with a combined helicopter flight out to Hana via Blue Hawaii and back on the road with Temptation Tours in order to save time and avoid the hassles of driving the Road to Hana ourselves. We truly felt like we were at home in this residence. Nice having a washer/drier in the unit itself to dry wet clothes or catch up on selected items for two of us who planned another week on the Big Island. This was definitely the best value and excellent location for the six of us to stay in proximity to Lahaina and centralized to other events and activities. Mahalo

Four days in a beautiful resort

We are three ‘older couples’ from Australia and we all loved our 3 bed, 3 bathroom apartment. The kitchen had everything in it you would even need all set out perfectly and neat and clean. It had all the linen and beach equipment to make our stay very enjoyable and hassle free. During outstay a toilet block up and it was unblocked within hours with the desk informing us of the progress of the plumbers arrival and checking if we were happy with the outcome. Resort in walking distance to supermarkets and restaurants and beach. Gardens were immaculate and staff friendly. Pool beautiful and deep and always clean, pool hours could have started a little earlier. Barbecues also very clean but wish they had a hot plate.

Comfortable, Clean and Great Location

We've stayed at Papakea numerous times but this was our first time booking through VRBO and My Perfect Stay. The process was easy and the communication from My Perfect Stay was perfect. The unit, D404 is well situated on the property. The rooms are good size, bathrooms nice and a very well equipped kitchen. Bottom line, we'd stay there again. The only one negative would be...you have to launder your own towels and bedding if you want. But all in all, it wasn't a big deal. I highly recommend this unit at Papakea.

This was my second stay at this resort. This time our group of 3 couples thoroughly enjoyed the grounds, the pool, walks down the beach and the location near to everything. The condo was great for patio viewing, dinners and breakfasts, sharing space. We really appreciated that each couple had their own space to retreat to when we felt like it. We are already discussing our next visit there.
