Island Sands 609 is a beautifully remodeled 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom 6th-floor condo offering stunning panoramic ocean views, with Haleakala visible in the distance, and a split A/C system in both the living room and bedroom. This property has elevators for easy access. Unit 609 can accommodate up to 4 guests. The master bedroom includes an all-natural king-size Aurora mattress and a full-length mirrored closet. The convenient bathroom, located right down the hall from the living room, comes equipped with a tub/shower combo. There is a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room for additional guests. The modern living area aslo features; new furnishings, a large flat-screen TV with cable, and new laminate wood floors throughout to create a bright and open space. The well-stocked kitchen allows you to enjoy ocean views while preparing meals.
Island Sands Resort is an oceanfront resort that offers a pool, BBQ area, and koi pond. This resort is located at Ma'alaea Bay, near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to Maui Ocean Center (Aquarium), take a sunset sail or whale watching tour from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to many excursions such as Hana or Haleakala. There are no resort or parking fees.

We loved our stay! Beautiful ocean view from the lanai. We could also see turtles and whale spouts from the balcony. The condo is quiet & a short walk to the harbor where we took a boat whale watching and saw so many whales!! There is also a beach at the end of the street that is several miles long. It was great for morning walks. We had a great time and will definitely return and stay here again!

This unit, #609, was extremely clean and well equipped. This unit has separate A/C units for the living and bed room areas. We were very impressed and we want to keep this unit on the top of the list for next visit. Our small request would be that it would be nice to add sheer curtains on the living room windows to block the direct sun light during the day time. We strongly recommend this unit to anyone!

Great view of turtles from the sixth floor! Centrally located to all the attractions. The view from this 6th floor condo is unrivaled! I never tire of hearing the ocean up close. I wish I could live in this place! I’m definitely coming back again to stay in this unit.

Island Sands 609 was great, as is My Perfect stays, who are very responsive to attend to any little detail. The unit itself has a spectacular view of the ocean and has comfortable furniture on the lanai. We had everything we needed for our stay in the unit along with a comfortable bed. While there was air conditioning, we prefer the open lanai door and ceiling fan. We enjoyed and wouldn't hesitate to return. Mahalo. Debbie

It is hard to put into words how much I loved this AirBNB. Every morning we saw sea turtles, during the day (from our lanai) we watched sea turtles feed right off the rocks, and at night they came to the beach. It was an easy walk to Ma'alaea Harbor for all of our excursions and it sure pays not to worry about parking. There was an amazing shop less than a 5 minute walk where we got breakfast and replaced groceries we ran out of. 10/10 when I come to Maui again, I will be staying here!

We had a wonderful time! From the lanai, we could see sea turtles swimming in the ocean below. It was such a quiet, relaxing stay. Condo had everything we needed, including separate AC in bedroom & living room. We will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful stay in Maalaea! The weather in Maui was perfect, and the ocean front view from the condo was spectacular! From the balcony, we could watch sea turtles swimming in the water below. The weather was beautiful and the view fantastic! The air conditioning was great, but not always needed with the nice breeze. The condo had everything we needed. The pool was the perfect temperature. There was plenty to do and see while respecting the privacy of those who were affected by the fires in Lahaina. If anyone is thinking about coming to Maui, now is a great time!

We loved everything about our stay at Island Sands. I brought my mom to Maui for her birthday, and she looked at so many vacation rental listings before finding one that was just right. As soon as we walked in to see the view, she was asking if we could come back next year! The property was well kept, peaceful, and everything we were looking for. Sunrises from the unit were beautiful, and we really enjoyed watching the sea turtles in the water and on the beach below. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!

this trip was a great one .my wife and i felt right at home. We cook and found everything we needed! we did go out to dine as well and found that the location of our spot was very convenient also had some out excursions and everything was close. We felt that we were in the perfect location to get to the entire island. Kind of in the middle of things. Apt was great, view was great, plenty of space for two people for sure. we could not have had a better time anywhere! the apt was great with all its amenities, the location was great, being centrally located for easy access to both sides of the island and for excursions up country. We put almost 400 miles on our rental car! Thank you so much for all you did. The concierge service was unbelievably spot on with everything they did.

We enjoyed our stay. The bed frame was a bit broken so it sunk in the middle. We slept on the pull out couch too and it would be nice to have an extra blanket. Minor things and we had an amazing time… the turtles outside our balcony where incredible!

We had a wonderful time at this Airbnb. The place was impeccably clean, and the description provided was accurate. The view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking, making it a priceless experience. My son enjoyed sleeping in the living room with the balcony open, listening to the soothing sounds of the waves. It created such a peaceful atmosphere for our summer vacation. Despite there not being many amenities in the immediate surroundings, we appreciated how conveniently located it was for exploring the entire island. Highly recommended!

Super chill place and loved the view. We even saw turtles 🐢 in the water below. I used the pool everyday and we grilled out one night. Everything was great and if you are looking for a non-resort, off the main drag option in Maui, this is a great place! Oh and you can walk to putt putt, coffee, the aquarium, the marina for excursions and dining!

This place is awesome! I felt sad leaving because we had everything we needed. The Oceanview was incredible and waking up to the sound of the ocean was great! The place was immaculate, everything accessible and plenty of space. The location is great, like right in the middle of Kahului and Lahaina. Both great locations to shop, eat, sight-see and enjoy the Island. I loved every moment of our stay. Reserved parking is a plus, that way you don't have to park in the street.

Great 6th floor unit with amazing views. We watched whales and turtles from our lanai. Well stocked and very clean. We appreciated the beach towels, chairs and cooler. Small unit, but perfect for two. King bed and washer/dryer were real bonuses.

What a beautiful place to spend a vacation! The whales were amazing. You can watch them right from your private lanai that has a spectacular view of the bay, Mt. Haleakala and the entire beach to Kihei. It is at the top of the Island Sands condominiums which is the tallest building in the area giving unobstructed panoramic views. The split AC works great and is whisper quiet with a little hum in the background. It’s not always needed with the consistent breeze that helps to cool the unit. There is a comfortable King size bed in the bedroom, beach chairs and a 65 inch TV. The pool has a new heater and is very well maintained. Haycraft beach park is a short walk and a gateway to one of the longest stretches of beach in Hawaii. The condo’s central location make it convenient to anywhere in the Island. You can walk to the aquarium and Ma’alaea harbor for snorkeling and whale watching excursions. Management is available and very helpful. I can’t wait to come back!

I saw as many as 9 large sea turtles at one time swimming in the clear waters below, right next to the shore.
