This unit was perfect. Very comfortable and had everything we need to the proper kitchen utensils to beach chairs, pool floaties and even a cooler. Extremely clean, wonderful patio with a great view.
Facilities were very clean and taken care of. Many pools to choose from, even an adults only quiet pool. There was even chairs service from Dukes for food and beverage. Only downside is that its extremely hard to get a pool chair unless you go right in the morning (people leave towels and go back to their room) but security does an ok job about clearing unattended chairs. there was casabellas and cabanas to rent as well for a moderate fee.
Keep in mind that this is a very family focused resort, so if you are looking for a romantic getaway, it might be hard to find some pool space away from the kids.
The beach was calm, and had easy access!
Overall i wouldn't change a thing and would come back in a heart beat!

I stayed here with my BF and our two young kids. It was perfect for us. We enjoyed cooking in the full sized, fully equipped kitchen & allowed us to enjoy breakfast on the balcony patio over looking the beach view. It was surreal how beautiful the view of the ocean. The condo was clean and nicely put together. All the amenities were great, saved us some money with getting to do our own laundry or cook a quick snack in the condo. The beach toys that was provided in the condo came in handy to keep the kiddos occupied. Highly recommend this condo !

The condo was great. It had everything you needed to stay (kitchen, pots, pans, washer/dryer detergent, etc.). The condo is close to grocery stores, its right next to Duke's (highly recommend), and the beach. Parking the rental was easy and convenient.

We had a lovely family vacation staying at this unit at the Honua Kai. The management company (My Perfect Stays) is top notch. Check in and check out was easy, they communicated well ahead of time, they’re open on the weekend, and they are quickly accessible via text. (Tonetta and Debbie were great and so helpful!) The unit has toys, a cooler, everything you need to get by in the kitchen, plenty of linens, etc. The one thing I’d highlight about this unit is that the king bed itself is just fine, but the sleeper sofa when pulled out into sleep mode is not good. Luckily our two young kids were able to sleep comfortably with my wife on the king and I slept fine on just the regular folded up sofa - but if you are relying on having two people sleep on the sleeper sofa, it won’t be comfortable. Overall A+ for the management. A- for the unit re: the sleeper sofa. Highly recommend the unit for a couple getaway!

The condo was perfect and gave you all of the amenities you would want from a hotel but even more with the large kitchen. Property has multiple pools and right on the beach as well. Fitness center, marketplace, coffee and Duke’s. Parking was also super easy and convenient. Absolutely would stay again.

The property was clean and as described by owner. We had some issues with gaining entry into the room. Called the emergency number as directed in the email. The problem was immediately fixed and the staff on the phone was very pleasant to deal with. The resort was clean and beautifully landscaped. All in all it was a beautiful relaxing stay.

We enjoyed our time at Honai Kai resort. Our suite was very nice a good size for 2. We were disappointed we couldn't see the ocean sitting on our Lanai. You had to stand. Too bad you couldn't use the resort towels. It would have been nice and easier. My Perfect Stays is very efficient getting back to us with any cconcerns. We would stay at that resort again.

Great pool area and easy beach access. Convenient on-site parking. As for the unit itself, it was somewhat dated but comfortable. Only downside would be the stains on the sheets and carpet. While I am sure those things were cleaned in between rentals, I have to admit that is was just visually a little off-putting. Overall though, a great resort to stay at.

My Perfect Stay was wonderful! I loved that they kept me up to date and answered any questions via text before, during, and after our stay. They offered information for excursions and answered questions about things to do in the surrounding areas. I also liked that all monetary fees were straight forward. The room was beautiful and just as the photos. If I had to give any suggestion, I would say just to bring your own shampoo and conditioner! Thank you to My Perfect Stay for a wonderful experience.

Everything was great about the property, very clean, property management was very communicative and we had a great time. Just a couple things to note, the listing does not hide the fact that the lanai is shared, however it was annoying to have the kids staying in a suite adjoining ours not respect our privacy and they kept looking into our suite. I knew it was shared up front and I am not mad at all, just something for future renters to consider. Also you cannot use the resort towel service, you have to use the two towels the rental provides which led to us doing laundry every night. Not a big deal as we had laundry and plenty of detergent but just something to consider if you plan on renting this suite.

Great unit! Great location! Great host! Only nit picky thing I had was not having full access to the AC the room never seemed to get super cool but it was no issue just a-little warm every once in while and the towel service would have been nice at the resort! Would recommend 100%

We had a great trip! The room and resort was everything we needed. My Perfect Stays an excellent host! Only Nit Picky thing I would change is to be able to have full access to the air conditioning! The room never seemed to cool down (set on auto) and the towel service would have been a nice amenity other then those two little things it was a great stay and I still fully recommend!

We staying at the Honua Kai for the second portion of our honeymoon. This is such a great suite! Check in was easy and it was great to have underground parking available. Super clean, awesome kitchen, and great shared lanai. Great stocked kitchen and high quality washer/dryer in unit. There were beach chairs, a cooler, an umbrella, and boogie boards in the closet which was so great to have! The linens and towels were very high quality and we loved having the option between using the shower or the bath tub. This resort is very family oriented so there was some noise in the morning if the lanai doors were open, otherwise it was a very peaceful space. It was also very convenient to have Duke's right there for evening Hula Pie orders! We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our 3 day stay at this studio. It looks exactly as pictured and was spotless. Everything we needed was provided. The resort is lovely and steps away from the beach. The only thing we didn't like much was the mattress - it felt a bit saggy. Would 100% recommend this place for couples/small families.

We absolutely loved our stay. The room and property were beautiful. We just had a bit of trouble withe the washing machine. We had to really work with it to get it to work. But no issues other than that. Our daughters loved the boogie boards, and we loved the beach chairs. Such a great place. We'd love to return.

The unit was VERY clean and well appointed. Property management took care of one item we were missing. For future visitors, beware that the actual resort is very strict about the 4pm check in time. If you arrive early, they will not hold your bags or allow you on the property. Also, there is no towel service for the pool. The unit provides 10 towels, but our family of four went through them pretty quickly between the pool, beach, and showers.

The unit was VERY clean and well appointed. Property management was helpful with the item we were lacking. The only disappointment was the checkin process. We arrived early, hard to avoid with limited flight options and the resort would not hold our bags or allow us on property before the checkin time. It would have been nice if towel service for the pool was included as well. I would advise anyone planning on visiting while there are dining restrictions to make reservations FAR in advance. Restaurants are already booked a couple months out. Overall a nice stay in Maui. I would stay at this property again.

Our stay at Honua Kai H37 was perfect for us. We had one small issue with the dryer in our condo and Perfect Stays responded immediately and resolved our issue. Fantastic location! Very short walk through the resort grounds to coffee shop, pools/hot tubs, Duke’s and the beach! The place is exactly as pictured and sparkling clean. We cooked breakfast everyday and enjoyed the shared, spacious patio. Short drive south to downtown Lahaina and short drive north to other fun beaches. Really a great, central location right on the beach!

A great room for a couple, with everything needed to enjoy your stay. The resort itself is fantastic and is everything you would want from a beach front property in Maui. We were visiting during COVID, so things were a bit different then the usual (I assume), but it was relaxing and felt very safe with all protocols in place. It was a wonderful time. I truly enjoyed my view, the peace and quiet, the ocean sounds and view, there was plenty of room to exercise indoors or outdoors. The beach was walking distance, but bring water shoes. The ocean area in front of the condominium was a bit rocky. Internet was great, I had no problems working on my computer. Definitely would come back. It was just what I needed.

Had a wonderful stay at this unit in Lahaina. The resort that it's located within is really nice, excellent little coffee shop downstairs and Dukes restaurant, which serves a mean breakfast. Unit is perfect for 2 people, fully stocked kitchen, very modern, and the bed was to-die-for comfortable. Had lots of really nice touches (snorkel gear, beach chairs, ice chests, etc.) which made the stay even nicer. My Perfect Stay were really responsive, check in was a breeze, and just overall lovely to deal with. Highly recommend!

If you are considering spending a little more to enjoy Maui, this is the place for you. The room was clean and well stocked with all the materials you would need - cooler, pool toys, and everything in the kitchen. The amenities at this resort are AMAZING. Hands down great pool area with Duke's right there and easily accessible for Aloha Hour from 3-5pm. Not to mention, this location has a beach! Most of the hotels in the area have been hit with some serious beach erosion, yet Honua Kai has managed to hold onto a beautiful beach. Thank you again for the wonderful room, and spacious lanai. We will be back in the future!

The property is beautiful. The location is in a line of "resorts" with a path to walk on closer to the ocean. The check in process was confusing, I was told someone would meet us there but nobody did, and we just checked in with the valet and the girl was super rude and uninterested in helping us. It would have been nice to get a property speech of where to find things, etc - but we figured it out. The room itself is nice with the balcony right outside. They had it stocked with everything you would need - including some pool/ocean essentials (the boogie boards were snapped in half, couldn't use those). I would stay here again. One suggestion: get non-stick pans! No matter how much oil we used, the pans were sticky.

That said, we are very sorry that there was a misunderstanding and that the Honua Kai Resort staff was not as friendly and welcoming as one would expect. We want to personally invite you back to stay at this unit and we and the owners would like to offer you a special rate for your return stay. We will be sure to address the boogie boards as well as your suggestion regarding non-stick pans with the owners. Unit 237 was perfect for our me, my husband and 10 year old son. The king bed and pull out sofa were both very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few dinners, breakfast and lunch. The bathroom was quite large and the shower had good water pressure. We did use the washer/dryer, make sure to do small loads for best results. The location of the unit is great as we prefer stairs to waiting for the elevator and the unit is right next to stairs. The lanai was used for many meals and just to enjoy the fresh air. We also used the beach chairs provided in the unit but we had to rent an umbrella which was cheap (I think $20 for the week). All the people at My Perfect Stay were very friendly and great to work with. The staff at Honua Kai were also very helpful and we booked our excursions directly through them. We will definitely stay at the Honua Kai and unit 237 again. Mahalo!

Honua Kai was a great place to stay and the description was very accurate. Condo had all amenities and would should of taken advantage of the kitchen and bbq area. Location was centralized and would stay here again!

Nice suite with full kitchen. Bed was very comfortable. No garbage disposal in the sink. We enjoyed the location and free underground parking that was easy to access via an elevator about 100ft from the room. The shared lanai was also a nice perk for morning coffee and evening drinks during sunset.

Great Condo & Great Resort

We booked this through VRBO and this owner uses myperfectstays property management. They were great, they called ahead before our trip and arranged to meet us at the condo to show us around, answer questions, show us to our room and give us our room keys. They also checked in with us mid-week to make sure everything was good. The studio condo was nice and well kept, the kitchen was great and had everything that we needed to make meals. The ice maker was a little slow and we ended up having to buy bags of ice. We mostly ate breakfast and lunch at the condo since we travelled with a toddler. We enjoyed great meals at the outside patio table. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows and bedding which was nice. The washer and dryer worked great as well. The Honua Kai rooms all have big glass doors that open all the way which really adds to enjoying the outside. This particular condo opens up to a big patio. The only down side is that it is a corner location on the 2nd floor so you don’t have a direct view of the ocean. However if you walk a few steps out then you can see the ocean and the sunset. Dukes is on property right on the ocean and offers a great view. There is a great coffee place in the building and the next building over has a store. The pools are great, there are three of them. We enjoyed the lazy pool the best. The location is located right on the beach and it’s a short walk from the room. The ocean along there is a little rocky but about 10 minutes down the road the beach is less rocky. There is a boardwalk that you can take from the condo down along the other condos towards whalers village. The staff at Honua Kai are very friendly and there is no parking charge and they also offer valet. Overall this was a great place to stay for my husband, 1 1/2 half year old and myself. We would definitely stay again.

Breathtaking Grounds!

This condo comfortably sleeps two adults. Check in was seamless and the resort grounds are breathtaking. The kitchen has a good layout and has the necessary kitchen items. There is a washer and dryer in the unit which is very convenient. Ocean toys (floating tube, beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler) are provided in unit. The patio is not private but we did not have any issues with neighbors during our stay. There is ample parking in underground garage which is easily accessible from the room. There is good paved beach access from the room; however, the beach is a bit rocky but perfect for laying out in the sun.

We absolutely loved this condo, it was clean and well kept. Loved to sit on the lanai during meals to enjoy the sunsets off the ocean. This condo was very quiet even with all the people that stay in the resort. Fairly close to a great swimming beach and the pool was awesome. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our 2nd time staying at Honua Kai, first time in this unit. I was a little worried about sharing the Lanai with other condo guests but it was usually pretty empty and always quiet! Location is amazing and My Perfect Stays was great to work with! We would definitely book again!

We enjoyed Honua Kai a lot. This particular condo has zero view and no access to 1st floor pools like I hoped. The elevator are slow. It was very clean and lovely but I wouldn’t stay here again due to view. Spend more and get a balcony to view ocean and pools. I was hoping for a late check out but it wasn’t possible. Dukes restaurant is the best! We ate there 4x !! The pools are loaded with kids but it was still very lovely - just know this is a big time family resort with lots of lilttle kids! The workout room is small and crowded and in the other building. They could really use their own workout room in this building. Maui is beautiful and a trip of a lifetime !!! Mahola

Amazing hospitality and gorgeous room. We were met as soon as we arrived and brought to our room. We were even given an early check-in and the communication was great. Room is exactly as advertised, conveniently located close to the pool and beach. Parking was easy and convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

This studio condo unit is located in a very stylish and well-curated resort. The unit itself is stylishly appointed with modern furniture and decorations, and everything was pleasant to use and clean. Since all beaches in Maui are open to the public, they even provide you with your own beach chairs and towels you can take with you to the connected public beach. The kitchen is very spacious for a studio condo, and there are public grills in the resort for use--grilling by the beach is amazing! Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely Apartment With a Beautiful Corner Lanai!

This is a lovely apartment with a beautiful corner lanai. It Gad everything we needed and our hosts went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. They brought us a new cork screw when we couldn’t find one, but most importantly I had our check out date wrong - thought we were leaving one day later. They called and were so calm and understanding - we raced back to get ourselves packed and out without panicking as a result. They even suggested where we might find reservations for a night. True professionals and so very kind! We will definitely use pleasant stays again. The location of the apartment was also perfect with lovely snorkeling just out in front and very close to black rock for magnificent snorkeling. Lahaina within striking distance. Thanks thanks thanks

We very much enjoyed this condo. Very clean, plenty big (for 3 adults) and plenty of towels and amenities. It had 1 boogie board and 2 beach chairs and PLENTY of beach towels which was so nice. It also had a rolling cooler! The lanai is shared but felt totally private. The only thing is you cannot see the beach when sitting on your lanai - you have to stand and walk to the ledge to get that view - because you are on the 2nd floor. BUT, that would stop me from coming here again. Very nice to have the amenities of the resort but prices of this airbnb condo. Thank you for a great stay and I would highly recommend it!

Perfect for the budget friendly- all the amenities of the adjacent resorts but at a much better price! Was nice to have the full kitchen and laundry facilities for our stay. Hosts were super easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The studio is really nice. Everything you need is there. We really enjoyed the beach chair!! Just leve it in your car and its there when you need it. The only thing I would mention is that the resort is no quiet. Its a family resort so expect kids screaming in the pool Until 9pm. If you want to have a quiet hlass off wine on the balcony... well.... it wont be quiet!!

The month of March is a very popular time to visit Maui as it's during "Whale Season" where thousands of humpback whales come to breed and give birth to their young. Because of this, the island of Maui is very busy with visitors. There are several pools at Honua Kai to choose from as well as a big beautiful sandy beach to enjoy just out front of the resort. The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. It had the convienve of being at a resort as far as swimming pools, restaurants, spa, maintenance on the property, cleanliness and being with other vacationers ( which we love )! It also had the feeling of having your own condo where you could cook so you’re not eating out the entire time. We ate out about half of the evenings and the rest of the time cook breakfast lunch and dinner’s. It was very convenient! We took advantage of most things at the property including valet parking, spa, pools, Hot tubs, restaurant, etc. I was a fantastic experience and we’re definitely going back and recommend them to others! This is a great place for families as there were a lot of children and big families and made it so much fun! Ps- The beaches are pretty small outside of the resort but if you walk a few boardwalks down to the right the beach has much more room.

Great communication and loved the personal touch with the in person check in. Extremely ideal, the location and sunset was perfect. Beach access, mutli-pools, and bbq. Loved the Nana door for the outside with the screen netting to keep the bugs out but the Maui warm weather coming through. The room did not feel small at all, hotel room quality without the price. Other beaches were close by and all the amenities fit exactly what we needed for a babymoon. Close to Lahiana town and safeway. Much thanks for everything!!

We recently had an excellent experience with our family of four (2 small children). . A representative from my perfect Stays was waiting for us upon arrival and took us to the unit. She was very friendly and attentive. My Perfect Stays was reachable throuout our stay to make sure our vacation went seamlessly. We ran out of coffee filters and asked our rep to replenish and she was there promptly with more filters! Overall, we would stay again and had an excellent experience. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of five is due to the fact that the pools were not heated. The beach was great though. We were concerned about construction but we didn't even notice it.

Condo was clean and had just about everything we needed. As this was our 5th vacation on Maui we spent most of the time either at the beach, relaxing by the pool or driving around the island taking in the sights. We're always sad when it's time to leave.

We had a great stay at Honua Kai H237! We were greeted by Phil in the lobby when we arrived and then showed us to our room. They provided beach chairs, umbrella, rolling cooler, and beach towels - everything we could need! The unit itself is perfect - loved the open lanai. The unit was a perfect size. We would definitely come back! The resort is amazing, great location - loved being on the boardwalk and walking to Whalers Village.
