Hono Kai C12 Description

Hono Kai C12 is a bright 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo offering tropical views from the 3rd floor and traditional Hawaiian decor throughout. There are no elevators at this property. Unit C12 can accommodate up to 4 guests. The master bedroom boasts a queen-size bed in the bedroom, which was recently purchased in August 2025. For additional guests, there is a queen-size sofa sleeper in the main living area. There is also a flat-screen TV with cable for your entertainment. The master bedroom is separated from the main living area with lovely Hawaiian-style plantation shutters. The bathroom, located next to the front door, includes a tub/shower combo. The well-stocked kitchen is convenient for making meals in-house. Dine in or sit on your private lanai to enjoy your home-cooked meals. This condo stays cool with 1 wall timed A/C unit, located between the bedroom and main living area. Unit C12 can accommodate up to 4 guests.

The condo receives a quarterly pest control spray, and the entire complex was tented in early November 2025.

Hono Kai is a beachfront property where you can enjoy a 6-mile stretch of beach with views of Haleakala and Kaho’olawe, an oceanfront pool, and BQQ areas. Additionally, there is a coin-operated laundry facility for your convenience. Hono Kai is located at Ma'alaea Bay near many attractions, shops, and restaurants. Walk to the Aquarium, enjoy exciting activities from the nearby harbor, play miniature golf and more at Maui Golf & Sports Park, or shop at the Maui Harbor Shops. Ma'alaea is located in central Maui, bringing you closer to either side of the island.

Exactly What I Wanted

The place I stayed in was exactly what I wanted it was close to the beach and it had a kitchen and it was fully stocked with the needed utensils. I especially like the balcony and then I could sit outside and eat or I could go down next to the ocean where there was a barbecue and eat. The location of the unit was good and the fact that I didn't have to drive very far to get anywhere but in Maui you can't drive very far anyway.

Communication Was Fantastic

Great area, could hear the ocean from my balcony and was a short 1-2 minute walk to the beach. The place is a bit dated, however and given that, I feel a little pricey. Overall happy with my experience. Communication was fantastic.

Our stay was really great. Pros: Saw an insane amount of whales right off the beach It was in a very peaceful/quiet location Not too difficult to get down to watch a sunrise or sunset Cons: Stained carpet/could be updated Overall had everything we needed! Easy driving to everywhere.

Really Nice Heavy Duty Beach Towels

Overall a good location and mostly as described. There were a couple very minor stains on the carpet but the unit was clean, had really nice heavy duty beach towels and would have accommodated much more than just the two of us. They provide extra linens, a pullout couch and an inflatable mattress.

Hono Kai Unit C-12 - Excellent Value - Excellent AC - Excellent Location - A Few Feet From The Ocean

Highly recommended - Unit C-12 and My Perfect Stays - FIVE STARS ***** Excellent Property Management company that checks all of the boxes a traveler desires. The condo was clean, kitchen well stocked with everything you need for cooking in, nice living room space and comfortable living room and sofa and an added is Air Conditioning which is very welcome during the months of July and August. The bed was comfortable - plenty of hot water - good water pressure - you can see the ocean from the lanai - easy to access - plenty of parking although the spots are tight you will be just fine - a friendly staff running the resort and a wonderful beach located just a few steps away from the condo. The My Perfect Stays staff (Julia) was incredibly easy to work with, booked us in quickly and with ease, and made our last minute arrival smooth and enjoyable. We will definitely stay at this location again when we return next month!

Perfect Central Location!

Perfect central location for driving around the island. Not a lot going on in that particular area but the condo is right on a beach. The condo itself is a little dated/rough around the edges but everything worked as far as we were concerned! It was quiet and we enjoyed the company of the cats that rule the parking lot. :)

The location of Hono Kai is very nice, right at the northern/western end of Sugar Beach. The trade winds blow which cools the place off at night. We only slept with the AC on once. I spent a lot of time on the Lanai which gives a small view of the water just steps away. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. The sofa bed was not the most comfortable but my daughter was ok with it. We used the ice chest in the closet and the beach chairs. would stay again.

Die Lage war super, die Wohnung sehr geräumig und die Ausstattung wunderbar. Die Anlage hat einen relativ kleinen Pool, der für alle Gäste benutzbar ist. Die Unterkunft hat einen direkten Strandzugang. Leider haben wir in der Springbreak Season gebucht was das Ganze erheblich teurer gemacht hat. Fürs nächste mal wissen wir aber Bescheid und kommen gerne wieder.

We stayed at this condo for a week. It was exactly as listed, a cute little home base for our Hawaii vacation. The condo itself was quiet and comfortable and close enough to drive to a bunch of beaches and good food either toward Kehei or up toward Lahaina. We loved that there was a free parking spot. Overall I think it was a great value, but would recommend having a car as the condo isn’t near a lot of dining options.

Great and Comfortable Space

This place was perfect for me. Great and comfortable space. The ocean was loud and soothing. The windows opened all across the wall to get the lovely breeze. Other reviewers mentioned the (Website hidden by Airbnb) could be updated but it didn't bother me. The one thing that should really be noted is that there are 4 short flights of stairs you must use to get to this room. Again, it didn't really bother me but it was a pain to get my luggage up and down. Otherwise, this is a great place in a good location and I would totally come back here. Also, Maui is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

The Unit Was Super Clean

The unit was super clean and we had zero issues with the TV, appliances, hot water and A/C unit. My Perfect Stays provided us with simple, contact free entry instructions and always made sure we had everything we needed. Waking up every morning in a comfortable bed, listening to the waves crash just outside the unit was super nice. Parking was easy, neighbors were friendly, and walking 2 minutes from the unit down to the beach was pure luxury. Highly recommend My Perfect Stays and Hono Kai C12.

The place was spacious

The place was spacious, with a sliding door to separate the bedroom from the living room area. The porch faced to the side with a slight view of the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you might need to cook and enjoy meals at home. Also just down the street from a marina with shops, restaurants, and an aquarium. Keep in mind that the place is on the third floor, with no elevator, so expect to carry your bags up a couple flights of stairs. All in all, we had a great stay!

Good location to get to all the places you want to visit on Maui. We especially appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and things to use at the beach. We did a snorkel cruise that left from the adjacent harbor so that was especially convenient.

It was great, right on the beach we saw turtles. We used the nice BBQ equipment they had a few nights and ate dinner on the beach at sunset. The place was clean and cozy, it had everything you needed. The property manager was really friendly and the guest were as well. Close to town nice and quiet not too many people. Would definitely go back.

My stay was absolutely perfect! Everything was very clean and were provided with beach towels and chairs which was really nice. The beach was beautiful and there is a nice village that’s only a 15 minute walk.

Great location. Very good support and communication. Super chill vibe.... the space is great for homebodies. We cooked almost every night and used the balcony daily. Staff are supportive and attentive. No issues I would recommend.

Perfect Apartment!

Perfect apartment size and configuration for two, clean. We LOVED the easy access to beach. You can hear the waves from the apartment :) The sheets were extremely soft. The mattress was very bouncy though so when you are two in the bed you can feel each other’s every move, which can be annoying to a light sleeper so I wanted to call this out. We would definitely come back!

Great location right on the beach. They even had staff members call or text in to make sure I was maximizing my time there by suggesting varies places to visit on the island!

Lovely condo space that is just far enough away to feel private, but close enough for convenience. Beautiful gardens and pool with beach access. Our toddler loved the grounds!

This is a quiet location, away from the crowds at Kihei. There are miles of beach to walk, or just friendly neighbors to chat with by the pool. In February there is whale watching!!! I think this may be the best spot in Hawaii to see it all.

My husband and I rented this unit last minute and we loved our choice. This unit is good . It has everything for cooking. Lanai is beautiful. Also, it takes only one minute to get from the room to the beach . The location is great , close to everything. Ma’alaea Harbor is within 5 minutes of walking. I appreciate fast responses if we had any questions. Mahalo

This is a quiet little spot. I loved the location - it's away from the touristy spots and in a good driving distance to many attractions (a car is definitely needed to get places).

Great option to stay in Maui. It's a central location between everything - about a 15 min drive to any city and the airport. Quiet area and right off the beach so you can walk down whenever you like. Even had some sweet kitty neighbors outside that greeted us when we came back at night.
