The condo had everything on our wish list….very comfortable inside. Just walked out of the door, ocean and beach right there. We didn't have to drive to sit on the beach. Very private. Could hear the water all day and night. Absolutely amazing. Will be returning and hope to use the same place again

This was a very central location on Maui while being in a very quiet, less busy part of the island. We loved having the ocean about 20 feet from our door! We could swim, snorkel and SUP right off our own beach. No crowds! Beautiful sunsets and sunrises! It was a great vacation.

Great place to stay with a beautiful view of the island as well as Molokini. You get to see sand, water, sky, cruises, mountains etc. You are one step away from the beach. Place was quite clean with all kitchen facilities. It felt like home.

We really liked the location. Felt right at home and the unit was feet from the ocean. The place exceeded our expectations and was wonderful to be able to see whales right out front. The kitchen was completely outfitted with everything you would need. We had a wonderful time.

Aloha, Thank you for hosting us. It was very beautiful cozy beach facing home. Loved waking up to the sound of waves and birds. So quiet and pleasant and the house is right in between the south & east beaches. House is very well maintained and enjoyed how every corner was used to the fullest. We stayed here in early April, and didn't have any issues with people gathering in front of our place or loud kids in the pool. Beach access is pretty easy and we loved morning walks with the sunrise. When we were there the place was pretty quiet and the beach felt very private/not crowded at all. Cons: -The AC wasn't the strongest and would turn off every 4 hrs. -We did see a few cockroaches around the complex

Perfect Position

Maalaea is a small harbour and self catering apartments centre. It’s well away from the crowds and commercial centres. Our unit the best positioned as on ground floor with the ocean edge no more than 10 paces in front. Unobstructed view of the water and a nice sheltered patio to gaze out to watch for whales breaching. Take binoculars with you. Not much choice in local restaurants. Need a car to get around. Main centres for shops 15-25 mins drive away depending on which direction. But Maalaea is central positioned for exploring in all directions so great base for exploring Maui. Is a 3 storey building and only 4 X 3 apartments look seawards. Definitely want this view. Access to the beach is direct in front and then can walk for several miles if you wish. Almost all the other condo blocks do not have direct access to the beach as the sea comes right up to a rocky wall. These visitors would have to walk a long way up the road to access the beach. From our unit you are on the beach in under a minute!

We really enjoyed our stay - the location is excellent if you want to explore the island as it is very central. The beach right outside the apartment is great: Very beautiful, nice surf break right there and not busy at all. Some people mentioned that the apartment got hot, but we were totally fine. The air conditioning works at a moderate mode, but it is enough to keep the place fresh and it is quiet. The place is well equipped with high quality linens and towels. We will be back, thanks for the great stay!

We Enjoyed our stay here. Definitely worth the Value. I wouldn’t say it’s a great location but if you want to be on the outside of everything this is the place for you, it’s about a 30 minute drive to towns and larger beaches. An 15 minutes or so from the airport. There is an aquarium about .5 mile from this condo. Which is convenient. Tori’s place was very clean and very organized!! Like 5 star!! Excellent. One of the best Airbnb I have stayed in for cleanliness. The only reason I’m giving the place a 4 star is because of the location and we felt that it could use a better AC Unit. As the Unit does not stay cool but it is livable. The pool is very small so we didn’t spend much time in it. An personally didn’t feel the pool was very kid friendly. More for adults.

Great place in the middle of the island! I will say this Airbnb is just for two people max. Maybe 3 on the couch but the pullout bed isn’t the comfiest. Ac was good but you can’t control the temperature on it. Great place overall tho.

Great condo, really close to the beach, its just steps away. There are a few quirky things about it. There are slats in the bathroom and bedroom doors, so that doesn't leave much room for privacy when there is more than just a couple staying in the condo. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect low key spot

This was a great low key location if your looking to avoid all the busy and loud tourist traps, but close enough you can visit them. The condo was nice, looked to be recently modernized and clean. The property has a small pool, the sandy beach start right in front and goes all the way to Kihei. Each morning and evening we say watching the ocean and sky (and light from Kihei. I did a little snorkeling right in front when calm, the kids did some body boarding when there was waves. Saw turtles out front often. For my family we were walking distance to the harbor for a snorkeling trip and a dinner cruise. Also Luxe Latte was an awesome little coffee shop we visited daily. This was the first place we stayed (3 in this trip), but I wish it was the last location as it was so calm and would have been a great way to slow down and enjoy Maui before heading home

The condo was gorgeous and the view was spectacular. The back door is literally about 15 feet from the ocean. The only downside is that the pool area is also about 5-8 feet from the back porch. If you don’t mind that then this place is for you. I loved my stay and will definitely stay here again if I am able to. The condo is extremely well equipped with just about everything that you will need for a vacation, especially one on an island.

My husband, 3 year old and I stayed here for 9 nights. Great little place, very clean. It was so nice being in a ground unit and having the ability to walk right out to the pool and beach. It was also wonderful to listen to the waves crashing on shore while falling asleep at night. It is a bit small in the area where people lay out and relax on the loungers. One day we had a bunch of people right in front of our patio sunning themselves which was a little weird but not a huge deal. The only thing we weren't impressed by was the beach. Don't get me wrong it is nice for sure, but the waves were a bit much for our toddler to be able to run out into the water and play and there were very large rocks not too far out. My husband went and bought water shoes after cutting himself on a rock. But we did see quite a few turtles! We ended up spending quite a few days driving to other more mellow beaches with no waves for our toddler but if it would have been just us, it wouldn't have been an issue. Overall, a great condo and great central location especially if you want to get in the car and explore around the entire island.

We stayed on A level and had a sliding door right onto a small grass lawn with lounge chairs. Wave noise was so loud we had to close the windows at night!! That’s how close we were to the water. Centrally located. This property is on the dry side so if you are looking for tropical smells and showers try the other side of the island.

Great place for a couple to stay. Very private and quiet. HIGHLY recommend Nalu’s South Shore Grill, which is about 15 minutes away. By far, the best food on the island!

Had a great stay! Loved the proximity to the beach, the pool and that view. Really impressed with the kitchen. Filled up with all appliances and cookies gadgets. Plus we used the cooler and the beach chairs as we explored the island. Would love to come back!

Awesome place! Perfect location and much more of a quiet beach compared to some of the other big beaches on Maui. Perfect for walking on the beach whenever you want and paddleboarding too. I even had a couple of whales come right up to me while paddleboarding one morning! We really appreciated the ocean front view too

The condo was great and very clean. It had adequate supplies for our nearly 2 week stay. The grounds and pool were kept very clean. As Sr. Citizens, we found the surf a little too rough for us. So we used the pool more often. We had a wonderful stay on this property.

We had the pleasure of staying at Hono Kai in November 2021. We thought the location, layout, and furnishings of the condo were very nice. But, we really noticed how clean the premises were! There were adequate supplies to get us through our nearly 2 week visit - which was much appreciated. We had the pleasure of meeting the housekeeper, Sherelle (sp?) and personally thanked her for the hard work she must expend in keeping the condo so clean. Good job!

We would recommend this condo. The location is super convenient, not too far away from all the fun places. The condo itself is clean and well stocked. We love that we can walk out to the pool and the beach through the sliding door. So much easier than having to carry everything to a far-away location.

Everything was great with the beach only 30 feet from our door. Only not so good thing was the very rude noisy fellow tenants that decided to party noisily on the lawn outside our unit.

My wife and I had a great time at My Perfect Stays. The beach is only a few steps out the back door and the location is very convenient to Wailea, Lahaina and the airport. The actually unit was extremely clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this location if you are coming to Maui.

We loved staying at this property. We arrived early before checkin and the mgmt company was very responsive in communicating between us and the cleaning person so we could enter the unit a little ahead of schedule. Amenities were as described w/ a full kitchen and beach supplies. With the pool and beach so close by, there was nothing left to desire. My only tip is rental car is a must at this location as Hono Kai is at the very end of the street in Maalaea and we found it difficult to use public transport/Uber doesn’t service the area/Lyfts are overbooked. I would be so happy to return. Miss the beach already.

We fully enjoyed our stay here, and are still raving about it! This place is right on the water, connected to a bigger beach. Much quieter street than staying right in Lahaina, very close to airport and we picked it for back half of our trip to shorten drive times to Hana and Haleakala. The condo is super cute, and well maintained. Kitchen has everything you could need, and you can wake up to the ocean sounds. The management company even let us check in early, and prioritized getting the AC fixed when it started acting up on the day or check in. 12.5/10 recommend!!

If you're looking for an alternative to a resort stay, this is a great option. Location was wonderful as it was central to the entire island and the view and access to the beach out the back door was phenomenal. The unit was clean and accurately represented in the photos (inside and outside). Communication for checkin, check out and responsiveness via text during the stay was fast and helpful. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Condo was clean and kitchen had everything we needed. We did not like the timer on the air conditioner, getting up in the middle of the night sweating, needing to get up and push the button twice a night was annoying. Also, the motion light going on and off all night on the leni was not pleasant.

The condo was great, it was everything we wanted while celebrating our honeymoon on the beautiful island of Maui. The location was great, very peaceful, quiet and it was in the middle of the towns we visited quite frequently so we never had to drive more than hour to get to places. Falling asleep to the waves hitting the shore every night was amazing and probably our favorite part about it. We were a little bummed that we were not able to spend our last night on Maui in the condo due to tenting being booked that day as well but my perfect stays took care of a hotel accommodation for us and refunded us for the last night. We fully enjoyed our time on Maui and plan to visit again! Hopefully in the same condo! Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise with us! Mahalo!

The condo itself is situated perfectly. Open the patio to eat breakfast while you watch the sun rise and listen as the waves crash along the shore, or step out onto the sandy beach that’s literally right beyond the rock wall. While several complexes line the beach, it is still very secluded and quiet and the perfect place to relax. The pool is right off the patio and was a great place to relax after being out In the scorching heat. There’s even a place for you and your family/friends to BQQ if you so desire. Perfect for a couple or for a group of close friends who want to experience everything Maui has to offer. All kitchen amenities were available for us, as well as a well powered ceiling fan and AC unit that kept us cool as we took quick breaks in between activities. My Perfect Stays were quick to respond to all inquiries and concerns and made us feel right at home. The condo is in a perfect location. Just 20 minutes away from (OGG) Kahului airport, it is in a central location! Just MINUTES away from Maalaea Port, you can pick from several different charters to take you snorkeling off Molokini Crater! Just 15 minutes from Kihei, stop by Ululani’s for some delicious shave ice or the ABC store for some forgotten toiletries. (Recommend water shoes if you don’t have any. Or remember to bring some!) Also about 30 minutes away from Lahaina where you can pull off the highway and stop by Leoda’s for some amazing savory or sweet pies. Wailea is just south of Kihei for upscale shopping and a must go to for dinner at Lineage. Hono Kai is the PERFECT place to stay to enjoy Maui. My Perfect Stays certainly has the true Aloha spirit! I can’t wait to come back!

Amazing place. The pictures don’t do it justice. The whole community is incredibly welcoming and kind. Loved sleeping to the sound of the waves each night. The property management company was super responsive and accommodating when we needed to reschedule as well.

This was such a perfect place to stay and enjoy our part of our vacation. It was the second place we stayed in Maui. It had a comfortable bed, great ambiance and accommodations, perfect location to everything. It was perfect to be able to make breakfast and sit out on the patio and watch the whales or dinner and the sunset. It was so close to any direction you wanted to explore and still be able to come home and have a quiet evening or enjoy a nice conversation with others staying here as well. We'll definitely try to book this location again and recommend it to others.

This property has everything one needs to enjoy their stay in Maui. It is located at the end of a three mile beach. There is good snorkeling right in front and good whale watching too. Several good restaurants are minutes away. It might be a bit small for more than two people but for us it was absolutely perfect.

Apartment A7 at Hono Kai was a great choice as it opened on the ocean and lawn so we could watch the sunsets and sunrises and the water, as well as get right into the water at the quiet side. Small for the four of us as there was only one bed and a sofa bed but they sent over an air mattress which helped a lot. Host is very responsive and place was well stocked and clean. Overall location was good for seeing all of Maui.

Great view from condo, excellent amenities and very well stocked house. The only negative was the lack of privacy on the lanai as you are right next to the pool every one gathers there right outside your door. It was a very busy time of year to visit Maui. I would definitely recommend to others and stay there again.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay. Highly recommend - was great for couples and the community was also rather family friendly. The place is right by the water and the waves make the perfect background noise when sleeping. The community was very quiet and respectful and the apartment well equipped with everything we needed. We had all the kitchen utensils we needed to cook most days and we used the grill outside. Perfect location to explore the west of Maui and enjoy the many beaches. if you don't feel like leaving, the beach the condo is located at is suitable for swimming, snorkeling (water can be murky depending on day and weather conditions) and we also did some surfing there (rock breaks, shallow water). Overall really great, we're glad we got the chance to stay here!
